The Isles of Glencoe Hotel has a fantastic location, tucked down by the side of Loch Leven just outside Glencoe. The rooms look out onto the loch providing stunning views.

The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

We ate in the restaurant in the evening - varied choices and well presented. Breakfast was excellent.

The hotel is looking slightly tired and this could be easily fixed ...

All in all a good place to stay

We took advantage of their 'Spring Break' and stayed for 3 nights. As with a lot of hotels it is a bit tired this being said we had a good clean room which opened out on to the lawns enabling us easy access for walking our dog. A nice extra touch from the hotel was a dog bowl with dog biscuits and also a towel for the dog. We had dinner there each night and the we couldn't fault the meals or the service. The staff in general were very helpful. One member of staff in particular took time to interact with the guests and make sure we were looked after. Thank you Barclay.

Even though I'm not staying at the hotel, they reception you get from staff is excellent, they make you feel very welcomed (best time to go is before 7pm as guests that are staying there, will start to come down). After getting our drinks & being shown our table, we soon ordered our meal. Starters were gd, but the mains were so gd that I sent word back with the waitress to the kitchen 'my compliments to the chef' a feat I hardly do. For my fiancee had the chicken (moist n light) & I had the duck (it's easy to get this wrong but the chefs got it spot on) pudding was orange & chocolate cheesecake nice & light but it would of tasted a lot better if it was actually made with chocolate than oreo's, but it still was nice. When the bill came I was quite surprised that it was cheaper than The Gathering Inn up the road, even though we had more courses with same amount of drinks. This place is well worth going for dinner, with excellent staff & a view over the water with stunning views.

Hi there Neil P. I'm glad you have taken the time to review the hotel even though you didn't stay here. I'm also very pleased that you had such a nice meal with us. I will pass on your comments to the chef once again and maybe next time you visit will be to spend the night with us.
