The positives are the villa was very clean and the outdoor space was amazing which is where you spend most of your time. The outdoor BBQ was good and we used it alot as only a combination microwave not a cooker in the villa. The other facilities in the kitchen was good and we had some lovely meals. The villa was more remote than I expected and the roads up to it are steep, narrow and bendy but also quiet. There was a lot of flies which was a nuisance when getting food prepared, this could have been easily rectified with beads on the door to keep them out.Another improvement would be better pillows and instructions on how to use dishwasher microwave etc.The downstairs shower cubicle was very small and the shower was not very good but the outdoor shower was great. ON the whole we had a fabulous time and we would return.A good value holiday as food and wine very reasonable in the supermarkets.
As you can see from the pictures the villa is quite isolated and the views are amazing, the accommodation has everything you could possibly need with an outside area that could not be more perfect. Plenty of space with areas of shade if needed.
The single track road up to the villa is a bit scary to say the least but a more confident driver than myself should not find it too bad.
Excellent base for a chill out holiday, in fact if you stocked up at the beginning of your stay there would be no need to leave all week.
Only criticism is the TV has no English channels but the Wi-Fi connection is really good if you have a tablet with you.
We've had a wonderful holiday staying in Villa Alvarez.
The communication from Olaf has been fantastic, always promt in answering any concerns.
The villa is quite out of it but this suited us as it was so peaceful and fantastic scenery. Plenty of space for a family of 6.
A car is definitely needed but plenty to see and do all within a 10-15 minute drive.
We highly recommend this Villa and the area. Beautiful.
