“Tinnakilly Lodge provided a superb base for our first Irish holiday as a family of 16.”
Reviewed 25 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Tinnakilly Lodge was a real find as we needed plenty of space for 10 adults and 6 children at reasonable cost. The house was good value and provided for all our needs. We appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and en suite bedrooms. The children spent many happy hours playing in the grounds and the sandpit in particular was well used. Good location and fairly easy to find. Aughrim town accessible and attractive. We enjoyed several walks nearby and loved the views! Handy for places such as Glendalough, Avoca, Mount Usher, seaside and so on. Good amount of tourist information available in the hallway. Owner extremely helpful and always on hand so we could call him if need arose.

Liked best: Location and spaciousness
Liked least: One bedroom had a bath with shower over with a rough surface. It would have been more pleasant to use with a non-slip rubber mat, maybe.

“Great house for large family”

We had 17 people heading off to celebrate a family occasion. House was very well equipped with lovely bedrooms all ensuite, great kitchen and dining room, all mod cons including big american style fridge freezer and a large modern range. Modern house with lovely wooden floors. Great central heating and lovely wood burning heater. Perfect if you are planning to cook in the house also. We were met by the owner who had a lovely log fire already blazing. Bins were collected and disposed of by the owner. 8 kids with us who loved their rooms. Outside the house could do with some work to make it user friendly but in the middle of winter that wasnt really a problem. Transport is necessary as Aughrim is approx. 4 kms away and would be a long walk on narrow roads with no footpaths.

“Amazing”
Reviewed 20 October 2013 for a stay in July 2013

Had such a wonderful time here. Lovely comfortable beds, great kitchen and beautiful views. We were a party of 8 adults and 7 children and stayed for week. Almost feel like keeping this house to myself,, however the owner is so nice and the house too beautiful not to share.

“Beautiful”
Reviewed 3 April 2013 for a stay in March 2013

Big thanks to Darrell for great communications before and during the stay! The house is beautiful, plenty of space and has everything we needed. Lots of dishes, towels, coal and wood etc. The house was nice and warm.
Not far from the village and the wedding we attended in ballybeg.
Will definitely book again if we're in the area.
