Owner description: Tír na Sí (meaning 'Land of the Fairies') is an 20 acre working farm. We try to be as self sufficent as possible, rearing our own beef, pork and lamb and growing our own vegetables and potatoes. All the hay for winter feeding is made here on the farm without the use of chemical fertilisers. We use wood for heat and hot water. We also have a woodfired oven, and all the food in our restaurant is homemade. A lot of our animals are animals which have been rehomed here. There is a large Indoor Play area, Outdoor playground, Fairy woods, Horse and trap ride and crazy golf.

We dropped in here for a rest on a long, just off the M8 motorway. The softplay area is mid size which was fine. what stood out was the quality of the food, which was excellent as was the service. I'll use this place again when passing.

We brought our 6, 3 and 1 year old here and to be honest it wasn’t great. Admittedly the weather was bad so we didn’t get to see that much. What we did see in the farm and outdoor playground was filthy and run down. After leaving almost €60 in the restaurant (expensive for what we got but food was good) and another €20 for access to the play area and farm, we were treated like dirt by an older blonde woman (owner or manager I don’t know). She came into the play area and called everyone for a pony and trap ride and when we got over she looked at us like we were dirt because we weren’t part of the ‘birthday party’. My 2 boys were left standing watching all the kids head off and they couldn’t go. She made no effort to explain herself. I was disgusted. We walked away and she shouted at us to get out of the way. Then she asked us were we ‘getting out or going in’. I tried to explain the confusion she caused with the pony ride by not clarifying that it was for party children only but she couldn’t care less. She left a very bad impression for what can only be called a mediocre day out at best. Leahys farm and Rumleys are streets ahead of this place.

Spent a few hours here yesterday with our small guy, Price is reasonable and gives you access to the indoor play area, outdoor play area, the animals and fairy forest etc.. We started with the outdoor play area which has good slides and is safe but could do with a lick of paint, There is a sandpit, swings and other amenities. Not criticizing but more of an observation is that the sitting diggers in the sandpit and the sit in car could do with being replaced as it looks like they've seen their better days. We walked out towards the animals and there's a great selection of animals to see and interact with (they give you sliced carrots when paying to feed the goats which our little boy loved to do), The fairy forest is a nice walk and you complete the loop by passing the vegetable garden which seemed a bit run down. The food in the restaurant is nice and reasonably priced and the staff are very friendly and helpful. If you are coming from the Cork side make sure to exit at the Watergrasshill exit to avoid tolls and it is well sign posted from here. I would recommend as we spent nearly three hours here and our small guy loved it and good for families with small children.

I came here with my Fiancé, our daughter and a few other friends with more children.

We had a hot chocolate and stayed in the indoor play area at the start so the kids were able to run around and we could chat away.
Drinks were lovely and the play area is brilliant.

We went out to the farm then which was a lovely walk and the kids are really enjoyed themselves.

All the staff were lovely too. The only thing that was annoying was that we were charged €9 for our daughted who is a year and a half and I hear another woman going in as we were leaving and she was told her one and a half year old was free.

That's the only negative thing, which I should have said at the time but we were in a rush when leaving.

The staff and the place itself is great though. Would definitely recommend.
