Me and my partner had a wonderful time at Matanivusi. The resort is beautifully unique, the villas are very private, submerged in the plants with the ocean at our doorstep. The dodjo where I stretched before and after surfs deserves a mention as well, it is absolutely stunning, surrounded by magestic trees. We met really cool people throughout our stay, and they staff was very helpful and friendly. The owners are very good people too, and they have definetly done an amazing job with Matanivusi!!! PS. Both me and partner got epic waves almost every day!

Room tip: No difference between rooms, they are all equally stunning and in great locations

Don't really want to right a review as we might have to share next time.!!.Simple stunning. Staff where beautiful as was the food and accommodation. The surfing was also a big plus with the owner having extensive knowledge of where and when to surf.
loved it.

Thank you so much for your review. The hardest part is convincing guests to write a review because they don't want the word to spread :) I'm glad we were able to make your holiday enjoyable. Until next time....

If the cat’s eye really is beautiful, then it’s Matanivusi. I had the opportunity to spend a weekend in late January 2021, and it was the resort’s beauty, excellent service, eco-friendly facilities, and its ideal location that took me back for the second time.

The rooms are great as they all face out to the beachfront. Food and beverage is excellent and the resort staff are so hospitable. If you’re one that loves activities, well there’s a lot on offer at Matanivusi. But if you just want a relaxing time, a dip in the ocean and a quiet read under along the shady beachfront is what I’d recommend. The sunsets are amazing, and I'd recommend the tour :-)

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Matanivusi. I’m told it has to do with the cat’s eye…so I’m definitely returning.

Building with minimum damage to the environment underlines for me their commitment to sustainable practices. It is indeed a space where intimacy is a given. Love their slice of the ocean. Staff&food: 💯

We had our first experience of Matanivusi Eco resort at the end of January this year and boi oh boi did they not disappoint. We were crazy enough to still go ahead with our booking despite the TC Cyclone that was developing and aimed to hit Fiji that same weekend. We were lucky enough to be nestled away and safe with very little damage while we were at the Resort. The local staff treated us like we were old friends and made us feel very welcome. Food and service was excellent. So much so that we decided to make a second trip in March and again warm and kind service.

The resort is an Eco Resort foremost so my only suggestion to locals going there (especially now with Border closure) is respect the space. If you're taking snacks and alcohol please be upfront with them and offer to not only pay appropriate corkage (disclaimer - they don't actually offer corkage and discourage brinigng your own alcohol) but also be respectful of their effort to minimise their carbon footprint and take back your waste to dispose of properly.

Its a great place to have a brief getaway and unplug. Definitely recommend to savvy locals that would love a fun and chilled out little getaway and keen to support our local tourism sector.

Vinaka vakalevu.
