We recently finished a week long stay at Scottsdale Links and thought the resort was a great value. We booked through Interval, and we got our room for an unbelievable price; however, we concede that it was worth much more. We had a two bedroom unit that was literally bigger than our first house! :) Very comfortable accommodations! The resort is clearly older, so there were a few things that weren't top notch, but overall, we enjoyed ourselves very much. There are only a few suggestions I would make that might have afforded an even higher ranking. The first concerns the living room furniture; it was pretty uncomfortable; however, my main concern is that there would not be enough if your party was larger than ours. We had only three people, so things were fine, but in that the room sleeps six, a small sofa and one chair would not have been sufficient for a larger group. My second concern is the pool; the water was simply too hot. I don't know anything about how pools are cooled in Arizona, but during a really hot August week, swimming was tantamount to stewing in a large pot. Moreover, since it was so hot, it was the pool that we were most looking forward to; this was a definite disappointment. The only other thing I would suggest would be a snack bar at the pool; it would have been really great to have access to snacks and beverages beyond just a coke machine. With that said, we would definitely go back. Hopefully, when we stay again, the pool will be more enjoyable.

Room tip: The resort is three stories high with no elevator. Depending on how much stuff you're taking, you might want to request a specific floor.

So pleased with our stay at the Links. The Check In attendants were speedy and helpful. Our two bedroom suite was spotless and roomy. The fully equipped kitchen, washer and dyer were so helpful for our couple day stay. We were thrilled with the size of the pool and the kids movie playing on Saturday evening. Such a great resort!

My daughter & I stayed at the Scottsdale Links for a 3-day weekend.

Off the 101 near Bell Rd., this hotel is in a perfect spot to reach a ton of restaurants and places to visit.

Having a fully equipped kitchen was extra convenient for making some meals when neither of us wanted to go to a restaurant. When we did go out, a full-sized refrigerator for storing restaurant leftovers was nice!

The living room had a DVD player, allowing us to catch up on "The Big Bang Theory" and other shows (we brought a bunch of DVDs from home).

I slept on the sofa-bed which had a dense foam mattress that was way better than most sofa-sleepers, and I slept great! My daughter said her bed in her bedroom was quite comfortable.

There was even a washer & dryer in a closet in our room, and I was able to do some laundry before heading home.

There was a BBQ area at this hotel, but we never got to use it. BBQ utensils were in our kitchen, so if we had wanted to barbeque, all we had to do was bring whatever meat we wanted to grill...Next time, for sure!

The rooms were spacious and had decent size kitchen and washer and dryer. The pool needs to be 24hrs and staffing communicate better. We were told different information from each employee. But all in all good for the buck. Furniture a little outdated also

We stayed at this resort in July of 2014. We live in town and had out of town company utilizing the timeshare option so we decided to stay the weekend to be close by. I’ve never been compelled to write a hotel review before, however I believe my experience here warrants one. Since my stay last year I have received REPEATED unwanted calls from Diamond Resorts International, and companies that they are associated with. Calls come from various locations throughout the USA, and are identified on caller ID only by the name of the city and sometimes they are late at night. These telemarketers are selling vacations, and soliciting for timeshare presentations, for Diamond Resort locations. I have repeatedly requested to be put on the "do not call list", and have been hung up on or responded to in a rude manner. To date I have been unable to make these phone calls stop. At no point during my short stay at the resort did I give out my phone number other than to the front desk, which I will get to in a minute. Additionally, I did not agree to any solicitation or sit through any presentation or remotely insinuate that I was interested in any product the company had to offer.

Even before the never-ending barge of phone calls was not impressed with this property. As other reviewers have mentioned this property feels like a condo complex. Its three levels with no elevators. The inside of the room is clean and spacious, but in need of some updates. The pool is average size and uneventful other than the splash pad which was a nice touch for the kids.
When we arrived to check we were told our room was not ready. Not a problem as I stated before we had other family already on the property so we went to their room and it was slightly before check-in time anyway. I returned to the office at check-in only to be told our room was still not ready. I returned third time with the same result, room not ready. At this point I made an unknown grave mistake and gave the front desk my cell phone number after they offered to text me when the room was finally ready.

A little after 4:30pm we were finally given a room on the third floor. My only issue with the room other than it needed updates was all locks on the front door are a toddler height. There is no upper lock or chain and the main dead block unlocks when the handle is turned from the inside, which is again very low on the door. Several times my 2 years old opened the front door and wandered out towards the stairs. We were unable to even walk into another, use the restroom or take a shower without constant adult supervision to keep her in the room. I’ve never stayed at any hotel with this issue and I would advise parents of small children who can open doors to stay away clear of this one if you don’t want your child in a parking lot or a the top of 3 flights of open concrete stairs.

My finally complaint came at checkout time when I started receiving phone calls from the front desk at 10:10am asking me when I plan to vacate the room. Although I understand check out was at 10am, and we were almost done taking the bags to the car, I was shocked the front desk was already calling. I’ve never stayed in a hotel that called the room 10 minutes after check out time. Additionally, they did not get my room ready in a timely manner at check-in time so I was surprised to be getting calls at 10 minutes after the hour when it was time to leave. Very unwelcoming feeling for the last impression.

Overall I would not stay at this hotel for sales call harassment alone. There are several other great hotels in the area for a similar prices and it’s not worth the trouble that never seems to go away.
