We have eaten twice at the Taj Mahal in the last six months. This is some of the best Indian food I have had anywhere. During our last visit, we had the meat Samosa, which was absolutely scrumptious, and clearly made at the restaurant. The creamy curry's are to die for. This last visit we stuck with lamb and were not disappointed. We had a tomato based lamb curry, and the restaurant made sure that we had it at the right level of spicy heat -- we chose 2 star hot, and it was plenty spicy, with excellent flavor. The restaurant has very nice beverages, including a Kingfisher beer brewed and bottled in India, that I have not had before. The owners are very attentive. During our first visit, the owner came to our table and suggested that we adjust our order so that our food had a little more diversity. Everything is made in the restaurant and it is evident in the high quality of the food. If you enjoy Indian food at all, this restaurant is definitely worth the effort to go visit. It is closed on Tuesdays. It is in a shopping center not far from downtown Prescott off of 89 east.
