During a recent vacation to Prescott, AZ, my wife and I took a long (too long) afternoon nap on a Thursday. We woke up hungry and walked to Courthouse Square in search of sustenance.
For a minute, it looked like we'd be relegated to dinner out of our hotel's vending machine. At 8:45 pm, it looked like most of the town was shutting down. We stumbled into Bill's Pizza and 15 minutes to close, they welcomed us in and saved our lives.
I had researched this pizza place on-line before our trip, but I had no idea how good their pizza would be. A simple cheese and pepperoni was what we ordered. What we got was a wonderful taste experience. As we ate, I happened to glance up on the wall and there it was... a TripAdvisor 2016 Certificate of Excellence. Well deserved.
This place goes out of it's way to make pizza an interesting experience with offerings like The Elton John (featuring artichoke hearts, red onions and feta), The Hammer and Sickle (featuring sweet sausage, jalapeno's and fresh cilantro) and The Charlie Sheen (featuring a plethora of interesting meats, Tiger sauce and Asiago cheese).
Next time I'm in Prescott and in the mood for pizza, I'm going to make sure I have plenty of time and give Bill's a real once over. I think this first taste has got me hooked.
