We decided to try Rosatis before going to a performance at Yavapi Center for Performing Arts with our two moms, both in their 90s. Although they both declare to have small appetites, they scarfed down three pieces of pizza each as well as salad. The pizza is very tasty and I like that it's cut in squares so those who like crust can have those pieces and the other guests can enjoy the inside pieces. We chose a three item pie with pepperoni, basil and mushrooms. The server pointed out that ordering the three items was a more ecomical choice that what we started to order. That was quite nice of her in this day of upselling.
We inquired about beer and wine and discovered that although those beverages are not available, we could bring in our own if we wanted with no corkage fee. Another big plus, even though we hope they get a beer and wine license.
All the toppings on the pizza were fresh and not too much or too sparse. We ordered the regular, not the Chicago style because of time restrictions. A note on the menu announced that Chicago style would require at least a 40 minute wait. Too bad for us, but nice to know next time. I don't mind waiting if I have the time because then at least I know that what I'm getting is fresh and not something that has been heated up.
The salads we ordered were also very crispy and fresh. Service was spot on. My only disappointment was that our booth was in the rear of a narrow booth alley and we could hear the conversation of the party at the first table in the row. So while the food is really good, the achoustics and design make sound travel and it seemed amplified.
