We arrived in Oatman around 10:30 a.m. After a little shopping around we noticed some tourist busses arriving so we went to the Olive Restaurant for lunch before the rush. We had a great hamburger with fries. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This is a great place to stop by for a burger around lunch time.

Typical diner-type food including their specialty-Navaho Tacos, hot dogs, burgers, salad, sandwiches and ice cream.

Not a very big location with about 12 tables located on the main street of old Oatman.

We sat by the window to look out at the street but the bug strip covered with flies and bees had us quickly move to a center table. There were some live bees flying around because people kept leaving the door open.

The food is basic but good.

I would try out to the other restaurant there to compare.

We had been to Oatman before but decided to drive up just to kill some time. We hit it around lunch time on a Thursday after Labor Day, so the throngs of people at this popular tourist stop had diminished. We visited with one of the local shop keepers for some time and then walked around town looking for a bite to eat. The Olive Oatman restaurant, was the only place that was open serving food. Decent food with burgers being the main fare here. Ice cream for those with a sweet tooth was also featured. The lone woman waiting tables was friendly and efficient, even though she was very busy. The decor is, well, interesting. Take some time and look around.

Food is very good and ice cream is wonderful. Super nice staff who love giving info on the town and the famous burros. As you come out the door head right and check out the gift shop next door- small but super nice lady! Don't forget to feed the burros and yourself at the Olive Oatman restaurant!

It was the best of times and it was the worst of times. Make that restaurant, the Olive Oatman being the only place in town (that we know of). But, don't let that deter you from entering the quaint dive with the foreboding door. The menu is slight, but good, your typical menu of burgers along with chicken and chili. Get there before noon, as it fills up at lunch time. Operator friendly and prompt to greet you. Our service was fast, as we were the first ones there before the crowd arrived. Wash the meal down with sarsaparilla.
