We based ourselves from this resort and were happy re location and the setting is gorgeous. Staff work hard to provide a helpful and welcoming atmosphere (Saumama in dining needs a promotion) close to the car and passenger ferry so easy commute to outer island of Savaii) we were happy here for our family group but tip: the food is heavily priced so we ate out and about alot. Try Belles Kitchen just minutes out of Apia in the day(lunch)a third of the cost of the resort and right on the water. Apart from that the staff here make it worth the stay.

The Sheraton beach resort looks very inviting and is set in beautiful grounds beside the sea with a lovely large pool. Lots of sun lounges by the pool and more with umbrellas beside the beach. Unfortunately when you get in the water you’re knee deep in mud, not sand. And beware of stubbing your toes on rocks. However the water is warm and ok for a dip. If you’re expecting peace and serenity in this lovely setting you might be disappointed depending when you’re there. For four days two whippersnippers were cutting VAST areas of grass making an awful noise in the mornings and afternoons. This is insane. Why doesn’t the Sheraton invest in a ride-on mower and they could get the job done in half a day, instead of spoiling the peace for days on end?

If you don’t like air conditioning when it’s not even hot there’s a strange problem when you turn it off. The room becomes soaking wet everywhere. I was told to keep it on to avoid this but if you don’t want to freeze, especially at night I’m not sure what to do. I’ve been in many very humid places in the world like Vietnam where the humidity is oppressive and have never come across this weird problem ever in my life. I changed to another room and it was better (but still damp and needing towels on the floor so I didn’t slip) after I’d cleaned out the fridge which was full of water, got the sink unblocked, had the broken phone fixed, the grass clippings swept. Rooms and bathrooms are tired and dated. There should be bedside reading lamps. But the main problem is the air conditioning system. It would be lovely to have the sliding doors open for the sea breeze but this is impossible. And lockable screen doors should be added.

Room tip: take an upstairs room and you won’t have a herd of elephants on top of you dragging furniture and thumping around.

Happy hour was disappointing from 3 to 5. Too early. Even though it says 4 to 6 in the information in the room I was then admonished for being too late for happy hour. This should be corrected in the room info. Beer and wine not included which doesn’t suit me. Breakfast was ok, nothing more. No decent coffee unless you pay extra.

The resort is isolated so stock up on whatever you might want from a supermarket before because once you’re there that’s it, it’s miles from anywhere and resort prices are high.

The staff were all lovely and sweet and very willing to help. Saumama at breakfast particularly charming but all were very nice as were the desk staff. Everyone is doing the best they can but it’s just not up to Sheraton 5 star standard.

We stayed 6 nights in Sheraton Samoa Beach Resort and had a lovely time. The staff were lovely. Huge thank you to Sau and Vela for their hospitality during breakfast and dinner. I highly recommend the Fiafa buffet and Spa. The only critism is that the bathroom could use an upgrade and housekeeping service seemed to quite late in the day.

Beautiful location. Great pool and bar areas. Friendly staff, nothing you wouldn't expect from a Sheraton Hotel.
That is where it ends. Room dated, tired and musty.
We were charged 18 wst for a bucket of ice that took 35 minutes to be delivered to our room.
Grass cutting all afternoon, grass clippings all over the patio floor no where to rinse your feet, grass all over the bedroom floor which is constantly damp from the air-con.
All in all a handy airport hotel.

Just returned from an amazing 9 night stay at Sheraton Samoa Beach Resort. Was everything we hoped for. Spacious and comfortable suite with all the Sheraton extras, SO relaxing lazing by pool or on beach, enjoyed the free kayaks, impressive Polynesian night and buffet. Some lovely smiling staff and an awesome coconut oil massage at Spa completed a great stay. Thank you. 🙏😀🌸
