Review of Hotel Millenia
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 3 May 2019
It has been a long overdue review. Attended a conference held at your conference room and the service had been very outstanding, From tea time to lunch, materials for our training. There is always a staff member who always tends to our needs and wants. Thank you for the super work team Millenia.

Not a great place to stay for long. Very noisy each night. Management think everyone is there for a party! It is not really a guest bar unless you are a local. Not the place to have a few quiets drinks at night. Cant even hear yourself speak never mind sleep. Tourists spend alot of money for a holiday so was a let down.

Deluxe rooms are very spacious. AC blew right on top you as you sleep and the bed the firm, best sleep ever. Rooms are generally clean although it felt too big. Me and my brother stayed during the trip. Our room was next next to the entrance/lobby, you can sit on the patio and see right to the road and people coming in and out. Curtains needs to be fixed and could do with cable TV as channels are limited and stop at midnight. Pool was murky. Breakfast was a big disappointment, very limited choices. Spaghetti, fried or boiled eggs and porridge. Lunch and dinner menu aren't that great either. You'd rather eat elsewhere to get a decent and filling meal. The staff are very nice, honest and accommodating. Although the patio could do with a sweep and hose down every day.
Enjoyed the Christmas carols at the park nearby every night.

Room tip: Deluxe rooms are at the back in the new buildings. Standard rooms are in the old building in the front, very dated.

Very big room that included a complete kitchen, stove to cook, microwave, fridge. Nice breakfast included. Very friendly, helpful staff. Delilah and Fiona were very kind and helpful to me. I thank both of them.

We were absolutely disappointed with the service provided by this hotel. We are Samoan locals who live on the other side of the island and often need accommodation in Apia. We had a prominent business friend phone for us as we were extremely busy with personal business and needed accommodation for that evening. Our friend, who is also in hospitality, phoned to get a quote for 2 rooms and provided a breakdown of adults and children for each proposed room. We were quoted $245 per room.

We arrived to check in and were then told it would cost us another $50 per child, one of whom is only 4 yrs old.

We had limited time and simply needed somewhere to sleep and my husband was not well. He needed to rest before we needed to go to a special ceremony 2 hrs later.

We explained our situation and they showed no empathy. A manager was referred to but they didn’t bother to come and speak with us. And of course the person who took the phone booking denied it

So in the end we went to Insel Fehrman who were cheaper, provided us with great adjoining rooms, amazingly comfortable beds and a great breakfast.

As foreign locals, we will always now go to Insel Fehrman and will recommend this hotel to all of our family and friends. We certainly will NOT be recommending Millenia Hotel!

Nice pool and restaurant that's as far as it goes. Rooms dark and very noisy a public bar is right next door and room service is pathetic. Don't hire a car from here they don't provide you with a local licence that you must have and the insurance is a joke. Have an accident and pay premium later. Dodgy to say the least.
