We are thrilled that you "thoroughly enjoyed your stay" and we thank you for your feedback we appreciate both good & bad assists us in making Seabreeze the best it can be!
If I can please just correct a few of your “Facts” so that other tripadvisor followers and future guests can make informed decisions.
1: Meal Plan: This is clearly explained in our fact sheet that we send out when guests enquire about this plan, and of course is a matter of choice. At $71.00 NZD per person per day – Guests receive a meal allowance of $60 Tala for lunch and $80.00 Tala for Dinner off any of the A la carte, Pizza and specials menu. If you convert the $69.00NZD there is a saving of $18/$20 Tala per person per day, depending on conversion rates. Also available on our web site is our room inclusions like two course A la carte breakfast, complimentary mini bar replenished daily, plus much more.
2: We do not have TV’s or DVD’s in the room, ROMANCE is what Seabreeze encompasses and through past experience we have found that not all music genres are palatable to neighbours and not all guests are considerate of noise levels. In a small bay with amazing acoustics the sound levels are important & peace & tranquillity enticing intimacy are what most of our guests are drawn to.
3: Hire Cars: Seabreeze has on site hire cars these are exclusively for our in house guests use. Hire cars are discounted on a sliding scale depending on the length of time you have them, if you hire them for a week the rate reduces to $125 tala per day inclusive of insurances. As the cars are on site we generally find that guests only hire a car for one or two days, as you are aware we are in very close proximity to To Sua Ocean Trench, Vavau Beach & Lalaomanu beach so half day trips can easily be achieved by local Taxi or resort transfer. Please Note: local car rental companies charge a delivery cost to & from Faleolo Airport, guests are welcome to self-drive in & out during daylight hours – but between the hours of 6pm & 8am transfers are mandatory for our guest’s relaxation and safe arrival. We are always happy to assist in discussing options with you.
4: Internet: Seabreeze is a Bluezone Hot Spot, with Bluesky being the carrier The wifi top up cards we stock are $20 Tala for two hours log in log out and have UNLIMITED DATA for use over a two week period and can be used on any device unlike the data sims that can only be used on phones. This is the cheapest internet on the Island and we charge as per the Bluesky rates which is exactly the same products as you can buy at the airport or around the Island.
5: We also have complimentary handy phones (smart phones) for guests to use with a local sim, to enable you to contact friends & relatives at local discounted rates, far cheaper than roaming. We are always looking for ways to enhance our guests stay; we’d like to think that our service extends beyond the resort so these added touches are there for guests use if required.
6: Exchange rates are actually given to us by the bank each day & we convert NZD to Tala (local currency) using exactly the same rate as ANZ Bank uses; we do not add a margin to our billing process, and guests are welcome to pay in cash or cash/card whatever your preference is.
With regards to our visiting travel agents, we are sorry that you felt that you didn’t get the same treatment. When agents visit, we have a small window of an hour or two hours, to show them what our guests experience over a week’s stay, we don’t accommodate agents so the impact on guests is minimal, but we are sorry that you feel that this impacted on your stay.
All our guests over a few days stay are treated to all of the agent’s experience. If you cast your mind back you will remember the lovely Levaea sings three nights a week during dinner, on Fridays we have our cultural afternoon followed by our Fia Fia (which you participated in) where you would have experienced a full night of entertainment, including staff singing, the Samoan haka followed by the Kiwi challenge and of course every guest including yourselves are sung our specially written farewell songs to acknowledge the importance of our valued guests.
As you would have been aware the Welsh rugby team was a big hit, with the staff and as a one off occasion warranted a worthy Samoan haka performed on the team’s departure in the car park to show our pride before the upcoming game, all a bit intense we understand but Samoan pride will always shine on such occasions. With any outside events at no stage do we exclude our “in house guests” from the location and in this case we only agreed to a mid-afternoon lunch for the visiting team and a maximum two hour time frame for minimum impact.
We are sad that you did not find Seabreeze to be the best it can be, we understand the weather was not at its best, and everyone wants to come away & enjoy the sun and no rain. We also understand that when we have to enforce the resorts policies that guests can become unhappy and this ultimately affects the way we and Seabreeze are viewed, we do however always encourage our guests to research well and make choices carefully.
Again thank you for staying with us it is always a pleasure sharing our special piece of paradise with our valued overseas visitors, and we will continue to do our best to have valued guests experiences enhanced in any way we can.
Alofas Wendy, Chris & our Seabreeze Family
