I had to stay in this hotel due to availability of rooms in Bahia Blanca. The hotel probably
saw its hay day around 1960 or so it seems anyway. Only one or two of the staff could speak basic English at check in. The first room was of so poor standard I had to change to another room. That one was marginally better, but not much. The heating worked and the hot water, or should I say lukewarm water worked. After 5min of open tap. The toilet worked once I got the hang of how to work the flushing mechanism. The shower head was extremely old and only three beams of water came out with about half pressure. It's been many years since any proper maintenance was made in the room. But on the up side a new hair dryer was mounted.
What really got to me was that the duvet on the bed, a nice warm one at that, had no cover at all. I have no idea who slept under it earlier and it is very unhygienic.
The second item was wi-fi, which at best was like half Isdn speed a la 1994. Horrible. Disaster.
The third item was the service in the restaurant, the lady there was on the verge of being impolite and rude. Very slow service and I was refused to have a beverage to the room at around 22:00 because she said the restaurant was closed.... que???
Good things:
The other staff tried to help as best they could within their extremely bad knowledge of English.
The mattress was just as I like it. Not to soft and not to firm.
If you don't care of hygiene or maintenance or good service this the place for you. Good thing the price is about as low as the class of the hotel. The only reason I give this two stars is the attempts of the staff at the reception to help me within their capabilities.
