Stayed 7 nights in rooftop rooms, first in one without terrace, then the one with private terrace. Both rooms were beautiful, like the hotel. The bed was comfortable with a mattress neither too soft nor too hard. Bathrooms have walk in showers and shower gel, soap and hair dryer are provided, but not much else (towels obviously including pool towels; beach ones can be hired). No TV but loads of sockets everywhere including on the rooftop terraces, our favourite place. We also enjoyed the small pool for a refreshing dip and appreciated the reasonably priced fridge (water 1, beer /juice 1.50, wine 8 euros). The breakfast is delicious, mainly cold dishes, much homemade, though had omelette once too. Found the 10.30 finish a bit challenging, having been out very late a few times, but worth setting alarm for! Talking of challenging, yes the staircase is narrow and winding but staff carried our cases (which were huge). Talking of the staff, extremely friendly and professional, your room is made while you have breakfast and we got delicious packed sandwiches for the plane today - thank you to everyone!
We were pleasantly surprised that Convento is ideally located at the promenade (a few footsteps in) and in the old down, perfect for the many restaurants and bars / cafes.
