Right at the top of the best places we've stayed!.
Exceptionally kind and helpful people
Beautiful setting, an oasis of tranquility, exceptional quality accommodation, lovely pool and superb gardens.
Breakfast to die for every thing fresh.
We had an injured member of our walking group, the staff and owners could not have been more accomadating helpful and caring I cannot sing their prayed enough.
We are going back in October and can highly recommend it as a place to stay.

We stayed here in August for 1 week. This is a very quiet and friendly place to spend a few days with the kids. It is located on the road entering Zambujeira do Mar - the village was packed at the time we were there, but the lodge is at a safe distance so you can enjoy a quiet stay, near horses and cows, and being able to listen to birds and crickets. The downside is that you need to drive to the village, but you can use the bikes that are readily available.

The surrounding is a typical Alentejo landscape - prairies with cows and horses. We even got the chance to feed some carrots to the horses belonging to the farm just next to our lodge.

Breakfast is fabulous - local bread, juices, jellies and fresh fruits - the best way to start the day.

The staff is amazingly friendly and always ready to help with a smile on their faces.

One of the best places we stayed for some years now. We already booked a week for next Summer!

What a fantastic place to stay. A haven of peace, a couple of km out of town and away from the beach (which was just as well because Zambujeira was hosting a summer music festival that drew hundreds of extra visitors to town). Claudia is the friendliest and most helpful of hosts, the breakfast was divine - fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice, bread and home-made jams, meats, cheese, scrambled egg etc... this kept us going almost until dinner time. The swimming pool is just the right temperature and very clean. The only downside was the lack of wifi in the self-contained studio rooms.

Room Tip: Evitez la première semaine d'Août lors du festival de musique

I booked this room at the last minute for my son and his friend and they have raved about it stating that it was their favorite stay during their nearly month long Spain trip. They particularly were appreciative of the lady who ran the B&B and made them feel at home and helped them after a long two weeks with their laundry. There was a wonderful pool, hammocks, furniture and it was all very clean and brightly colored. The bed was comfortable. They also said that the breakfast was, "the best they've ever had in their lives" with fresh fruits, pound cake, etc... What a great find!

We are British and prefer small, charming places run by the owners. We booked this place rather hurriedly, without much research, and wow, we were pleasantly surprised. Lovely garden, nice pool area, wonderful breakfast, and reasonably priced. Room a bit small, but fine for us. No airconditioning but lovely breezes. Claudia, the boss, is delightful, speaks very good English and runs the place very efficiently. We did not explore the area as much as we would have liked, so we will certainly be back & we will definitely stay here again.
