Very disappointing to note the lodge refused to assist wifh a postponement of our trip after numerous requests due to the increase number of cases in the province !!! Will definitely not recommend this lodge to future tourists.

We stayed at Forest Lodge for 3 nights , in one of the 2 bedroom family apartments. The rooms were really nicely furnished, both bedrooms had an en-suite bathroom, great for teenage daughters. The apartment had a nice balcony over looking the lovely lush gardens and the pool area. The staff were very helpful and arranged a couple of activities for us. All in all, a great place to stay at a very reasonable price.

As I booked an adventure rip for 14 nights this was one of the very good hotel during the trip! We had dinner prepared from the hotel stuff and was sooo good, as the dinner and lunches in the truck or in self catering areas was before that a disaster! Rooms was big, and if the cleaning process was better then this would be a top notch hotel. We had also a group dancing for us. Hippos just outside the hotel eating gras was very awesome!

We booked in "Forest Villas" but this is the same as the "Forest Lodge". Didn't see a "villa" so "lodge" is more accurate.

Quite noisy, you can hear the neighbours in the shower.

Tourbuses stop here, too. This meant that one morning at breakfast time we did not have a seat. The breakfast area is too small to accommodate everyone at the same time. Winter time and the windows were opened during breakfast which made it quite cold.

The suite itself was OK, with kitchen, but no place to sit and eat your food. So we had to improvise eating on the coach.

We had our laundry done here, which was good and fast service.

I loved the atmosphere of the Lodge itself, very relaxing and full of little surprises that come in the form of insects . . . If you love the tiny 5 then this whole area is teaming with life
Food was great, service a little slow but a fantastic part of South Africa
