We arrived at Vuyani Lodge 7th October after a tirering flight,to be welcomed by worm refreshing face towels and refreshing tropical drink.
Check in was an absolute breeze and after we had checked in food was waiting for us.We then was shown to our room which was the Honeymoon suit.WOW is all I can say,comfortable private and clean.Outside shower which is awesome when the temps are in the 40s,fridge which is stocked daily with beer and water.We had an outside plunge pool which was great,1 minute your relaxing the next minute there's an animal passing by.
The food was fantastic,my wife has dietary needs and to say they went above and beyond is an under statement to make sure she was looked after.We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and was presented with our own special private meal on the balcony.Thank you to Chriswell who was the perfect gentleman and host.
Finally the safari tours which you get 2 of each day.Our driver was SULLY and STEPHEN,absolutely fantastic words can't explain how good they really are at what they do from tracking what you want to see or having a laugh they really are awesome.The two brother lions are an absolute must see and if your lucky the leopard.
We did 2 trips, 1 to Krugger national Park.Thanks to Dave and Andrews who was our guides for the day.Also did the river trip unbelievable views.

I’d be hard pressed to say anything but positive things about our 4 night stay at Vuyani. From booking until check out, their communication was top notch and took all the stress out of traveling to a country we’ve never been to.

The staff is so friendly and really go above and beyond to make sure you feel at home.

Trackers are highly knowledgeable and will go to extreme lengths to make sure you see everything you came to see. They are also very warm and fun, cracking jokes the whole ride making the experience that much more enjoyable.

We stayed in a honeymoon suite and couldn’t have been any happier. Everything was beautiful and the Wi-Fi actually worked better than most American hotels we’ve stayed at. Like ninjas in the night, the cleaning staff found every opportunity to come in and tighty up our rooms. Really impressive and not intrusive at all.

Food is fantastic. They make a continuous effort to serve a new menu every night keeping things fresh in a place where things could become repetitive. Some nights they will take your order ahead of time and have a formal family style dinner (which we loved! Great way to get to know the other guests.) Other nights, they could host you for an outdoor BBQ serving up authentic South African dishes. You just never know but the food is always amazing.

First of all, my review is late (I drafted and forgot to submit!) We stayed at Vuyani for our forth time so needless to say we absolutely adore it! Vuyani has truly become like a family to us and yet again, completely exceeded our expectations. Everything at Vuyani is simply perfect and has given us the most amazing memories we will hold for our lifetime. We were picked up from Hoedspruit airport by Jannie, a little secret kept from our son, his face lit up when he saw him and made for an amazing start to what would be an amazing holiday. Jannie and Peace were our guides, incredible people with incredible knowledge with so many laughs along the way. We really do have the best time in their company and we had the most jaw dropping sightings! We saw everything we wished to and more. Several leopard sightings which were real ‘pinch me’ moments and of course the croc (our son was desperate to see), allowed us to enjoy a sundowner near. Each sighting was just amazing and surreal. We really don’t get how they top the last visit but they do!
The food is impeccable, you definitely do not go hungry! We looked forward to every meal and were certainly not disappointed! The meal times were also a lovely opportunity to get to know the other guests and talk about what we’d seen so far.
Vuyani is such a tranquil place, we enjoyed some down time by the pool in between drives as the weather was glorious. The staff are what makes staying at Vuyani what it is, you really couldn’t wish for more. Each and every staff member makes you feel completely at home.
It’s always so sad when we have to leave but even with a tear in our eyes, we know we’ll be back. See you in 2025!
