TL;DR: Excellent stay all around. Great accommodations, atmosphere, staff, food quality.

Spent 6 nights here in mid April. Warmly greeted as we drove up. Headed inside to check in, valet staff parked and locked car.

After checkin (nice upgrade to standalone casita) valet staff led us to self-parking area, unloaded our baggage into the golfcart and took us to our casita. Nicely appointed casita.

Well-stocked bar fridge, fireplace, king bed, 2 easy chairs, coffee table. Good sized working desk and chair. One thing we noticed immediately was a plethora of outlets, both 120v and USB charging points.

The bath area is quite large. Double sink, stone-walled shower, separate toilet area. Lots of room to hang clothes, 4 drawers and some shelves as well. Decent toiletries, nice towels, and lots of them. Robes, though, would have been small on a child. On me, let's just say that would be TMI.

As others have noted, the stone floors are dirty and you'll track dirt everywhere. I assume they are quite hard to keep clean. Slippers were supplied. Either keeping shoes on inside (seemed odd to us Canadians, I know it's common is US) or having slippers is a necessity.

Firewood and starter blocks brought on demand as long as it's a 'burn day' (municipal regulations, appear to be based on air quality and on wind, i.e. sparks from chimneys setting fires)

We used the spa on 3 occasions. The couples massage was excellent. We made use of the private hot tub for an hour before and after. Relaxing and very private. Staff was very respectful of our privacy. Not cheap, but for us it was worth it. Got some good tips on helping each other with tension areas; I spend too much time at a desk for example, and get upper back cramps. Wife's facial was so-so as was manicure (chipped within a couple of days).

One thing I really want to point out was food quality. It was excellent across the board. I'm not used to hotel food being good; when travelling for business, it tends to be something I will engage in because I don't feel like going out, and it fills the hole. Not here. Breakfast options were excellent (no buffet, all a la carte). Tried all the 'regional favorites' including a local twist on eggs benedict, the waffles, the french toast (needed a nap afterwards from the sugar rush), breakfast burrito. Had lunch at the Spotted Donkey twice, and at the spa. Both excellent. Had a special dinner in Palo Verde one night and had the duck+scallop special. Perfectly cooked. Even had room service on a couple of occasions; it was delivered promptly and hot to our casita. We both enjoy good food, and it is unheard of for us to eat in a hotel more than we have to. But after a couple of meals we realized that we really didn't need to go offsite, which was great as this was supposed to be a complete R&R vacation. It's not cheap; breakfasts ran $60 for 2, and our special dinner with 1 glass of wine was $150. Tori, Katia, and Casey in particular made us feel warmly welcomed each day.

The staff was all very friendly. Poolside service was good. We tried both the lodge pool and the spa pool. Water is heated so it was OK even on cool days.

Finally, the scenery and atmosphere. Gorgeous surroundings. It is laid back. It is a resort, not a hotel. If you go for a walk, it won't be to shop; you can walk through their nature path and see flowering cacti. We did see a fair bit of wildlife; hummingbirds abound, and a group of Javelina pigs came past our door one night.

All in all, an excellent trip and a Hilton we look forward to returning to.

Great place to relax and play golf. All needed amenities on property if you wish. But also close enough to other attractions to provide some diversity. Far enough from the busy city as well. I have been there several times over the years with family and friends and have never had any complaints

My family stayed here to celebrate my wife's birthday. The place is immaculate, the staff are wonderful and we wished we could have stayed longer! Special thanks to Bill and Billy (Bellman) for giving our kids bread to feed the fish each morning! Thanks to Sophia, Toni and all the restaurant staff for making our stay great!

This was my third stay at The Boulders and I was pleasantly surprised once again. The entire resort is always emasculate but I never see crews working to keep it that way. I would characterize The Boulders as: beautiful, clean, quiet, and extremely restful with top notch professional staff to assist you in every way.

Let me start by saying the rooms/casitas are beautiful and very nicely done. We had a fire place and a private patio and a beautiful bathroom. The issue is that they are casitas spread out over a giant property so you have to either walk forever or call a bellman to come get you in a golf cart anytime you want to go anywhere. In the Scottsdale heat the trek to dinner wasn’t always welcome.
Additionally, this place is like a ghost town at night. Each night after dinner we would search out something to do, a group of people in the bar maybe, just to have some energy, but there was nothing going on. We found ourselves back in the room by 8-8:30 each night because nobody was out.
The pool waitress was terrible. Took absolutely no initiative in serving people and had to be flagged down anytime anyone wanted anything. And then she seemed exasperated when you did order something.

Overall a beautiful property, but I would not recommend unless you just want to golf, have lots of peace and quiet and go to bed early, And you don’t mind calling for a ride or taking a walk every time you need to go somewhere.
