Oceania is truly an oasis on the island of Yap!! The food is fantastic, the staff is accommodating, the music is great, and the drinks are amazing. Although Yap is remote, Oceania's menu does not at all lack diversity or creative dishes. The bar has the best selection on the island and the atmosphere encapsulates island vibes! None of the other restaurants on Yap even compete with Oceania, especially not in the quality and taste of the food that they serve. If you are on Yap, go to Oceania and go there frequently because you will surely be satisfied with the experience!

The food and atmosphere here is awesome. The owner is very nice and makes sure you are well taken care of.

I highly recommend to come here for majority of your meals! The atmosphere itself is one of the best on island. The food here was AMAZING to say the least. I hI read from previous reviews that they had a veggie option but they were from a while ago and I know how they can become outdated fast in the Veg community. They have a changing menu every night. Went there 2 dinners in a row. The first night their veg option was lintels with local squash and a side salad with white rice. It was soooo good! The portions are big size and could easily be split between 2 people. I am not sure if the salad dressing was vegan but I am just Veg so i did not check. My boyfriend just asked for a veggie stir fry which was super tasty and came with pumpkin, eggplant, potato, and bell pepper with rice and a small side salad as well. The second night we had the veg special and it was egg plant with sweet sauce , this was just as tasty as the first night. Oh! you must get their handmade potato fries. They are super food and not oily at all! I love the fast that they were not a frozen prepackaged fry, they were sliced and fried. Super tasty a must try. My boyfriend also got the tuna sash and enjoyed it. It is a bug portion and could easily share with 4 people. Also love the fact they have moscow mules. Great flavor and decently priced. Even if you arent vegan or vegetarian this place has an ever changing menu and sources most of their things locally. DO NOT MISS IT!!!

The one downfall though that I should mention is you have to keep asking the down the staff to get an order in or to order more drinks, they seemed to be sitting up by the kitchen window a lot. Which can be pretty annoying when you have a bigger group to keep calling someone over.

We love the way they prepare local Food. I had fresh fish in a lot of different ways during our stay in Yap, and they were all superb.
