The convent museum was excellent. All exhibits are in Spanish but ask for an English translation guide for the areas. You still can’t read all individual exhibits though. Closes at 2pm. €2 pp to get in.
The Covent upstairs was lovely although we only briefly saw it as it closes at 2pm and we were ushered out. There are relics in a separate place but that too was closed at 1.30pm.
Tip: arrive in the morning for full appreciation of the place.

Santa Teresa is key to the history of Avila so you should make a point of seeing where she spent years praying.
Very beautiful with plenty of interesting artefacts and history. Great gift shop too with beautiful books.

This site and square was one of the major attractions in Avila. The adjioning shop and museum was well worthwhile visiting. Interesting history and free entry into the convent/church but must be dressed appropriately.

An impressive church in memory of Saint Teresa who was born and lived here. You can see her bedroom and the garden in which she played. The church is very ornate and in the small museum, by the side are several artefacts including her finger and ring.
Well worth a visit.
