This resort was opened in December 2023 so it is very new. I didn't know the layout of Canggu before booking so I thought we were away from the action. Turns out we were in the right spot.

Location - the resort is literally 3 minutes walk to Canggu beach. From this beach spot you can easily walk to Finns or Atlas in 5 minutes versus Canggu traffic. Also The Lawn, Times Beach Cafe are all 3 minutes from this hotel. Out on the road there alot massage shops, cafes, restaurants, shopping. The people in this area are young, trendy, fashion so it's a great vibe. There are loads of surfers and surfing schools and there were 3 yoga places all less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

Hotel Service - this hotel deserves 6 or 7 stars for service. Every person at this hotel goes over and above to deliver exceptional customer service. Always smiling, always ensuring you are having the BEST experience and they will go above and beyond for you. For example at breakfast Elvira who is just so friendly went out of her way to make sure I had a smoothie bowl for breakfast even though it was not on the menu. She prearranged it so I would have it every day, now that is service. Fira another lady who works front desk is also so warm and inviting.

Hotel Rooms - I was tempted for the garden view room as the rooms inside are the same with the exception of the view. We stayed 10 nights so I purchased the Ocean View and so glad I did because the view is amazing and watching the big waves, surfers and sunset from your room is worth the money plus the sea breeze is nice. Rooms are well appointed, spacious.

Hotel Amenities- we were able to park our scooter at the hotel. Infinity pool is amazing won't cost you $2Million to sit there for a day and like I said it's new so nice running ponds and gardens, off the main street so you don't get the noise but so close that you are a 30 second walk to main street.

Some Holiday Inn in Australia are not great but this hotel was definitely 5 star, so don't think the name will deliver that cheap experience, complete opposite.

Finally the pool area has limited seating so either get in early with your towels or just ask the staff to make the next one available for you. We waited 20 minutes and had it for several hours. Pools gets busy around 4pm

Staying for 2 nights at Holiday Inn Resort Canggu, left a very awesome experience. Nestled in the vibrant and picturesque setting of Canggu, the resort is ideal for those seeking a unique holiday experience. 

The resort is conveniently close to Canggu’s bustling district, offering me easy access to local boutiques, cafes, restaurants, beach clubs, and nightlife options. Positioned within an easy stroll of Echo Beach’s legendary surf breaks, Batu Bolong Beach, Finn's, Atlas Beach Club, and the environment was so great! I found the perfect balance of relaxation and exploration during my short stay.

My room on the 2nd floor, King Standard Ocean View, featuring a contemporary design inspired by the surfing culture of Canggu. I can enjoy a private balcony overlooking the resort with the ocean as background. Premium room amenities including signature soft and firm pillows, high-speed Wi-Fi internet, a 55-inch smart TV, floor-installed air conditioning system, etc. The rooms was soundproofed, the bed was very comfortable, and I slept very well.

Atop the resort, we can enjoy a stunning infinity pool with panoramic ocean views, setting the standard as Canggu's most spectacular rooftop venue. The Rooftop Pool Bar provides guests with a mesmerizing 180-degree view of the Indian Ocean, where we can relax with delightful small bites and cocktails, while waiting the enchanting sunset. I was lucky I can saw beautiful kites in the blue sky, enjoy stunning sunset, spectacular fireworks at night from Atlas Beach Club, full moon and sparkling stars.

On the ground floor, Roomah Restaurant serves up the finest local dishes made from high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. I found Roomah serving Indonesian & International cuisine, vegetarian, dairy-free, and vegan options can be requested.

The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious choices. Including, bread, pastries, breakfast cereals, yogurt, cold cuts, cheeses, dried fruits, fresh fruits (mellons, kiwi, apples, dragon fruits, pears, oranges, etc), and salads. We can also order unlimited servings of dishes (ala carte) from the breakfast menu.

The restaurant staff welcomed me very friendly and I had breakfast, lunch, & dinner here. I ordered Spicy Garlic Edamame, Salmon Crudo, Classic Fattoush Salad, Nasi Goreng Kampung Nelayan (fisherman village fried rice), Balinese Ayam Betutu, Almond Milk Coffee Panna Cota, and Paris-Brest Pistachio All the menus served were delicious, the appearance also beautiful, and healthy. I loved it.
