Great, small resort. Rooms are beautiful, and the bathrooms have a very relaxing and luxurious feel to them. Each villa is standalone, and has a sizeable deck, and an outdoor shower. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Whilst small, there is absolutely everything you need, including SUPs, kayaks and masseurs. A special treat was the complimentary use of electric scooters and the availability of additional SUPs and kayaks at the popular swimming spot.More

This small resort has well appointed villas with recently renovated bathrooms and fully appointed kitchenettes. The managers Jane and Steve are hugely experienced and it shows. They and the staff work all day and into the evenings to ensure everything is ‘just so’ and all their guests have everything they need. Nothing is too much .The villas are well priced as are the ‘add ons’. It is designed for couples, with a lower age limit of 18.
Aitutaki is of course wonderful! Etu Moana is the first place we have stayed at where we started planning our next visit before we left. Outstanding.

We spent 5 lovely nights at this beautiful intimate and relaxing paradise. It has fabulous staff who provide personal service, treating you to a welcoming and friendly first name basis atmosphere. Managers Jane and Steve with Mark and Kerry quickly made us feel relaxed, like nothing was too much trouble, we felt special and enjoyed their sense of humour and fun.
The villas have modern and spacious facilities. Have fabulous views, set in beautiful gardens, steps from the beach.
Breakfast is served poolside. In house dining can be ordered on certain nights. There are restaurants nearby. Highly recommend Barefoot dining on the beach experience, extremely romantic watching the sunset.
Etu Moana has free to use snorkeling gear, stand up paddle boards, kayaks and bicycles.
For $10NZ per day you can hire modern electric scooter on site. A fun and easy way to explore Aitutaki. Recommend visiting Avatua and Kora Cafes. Very quiet sealed roads around the island.
We were very impressed upon our late arrival when Kerry arranged dinner for us at a resort walking distance from Etu Moana. Very thoughtful and appreciated.
Etu Moana provided fantastic service, looking after guests is a specialty. We enjoyed a couples massage on site, pizza dinner on our deck and a Teking Lagoon Tour recommended by Jane. Thanks Jane for adding us to the tour pick up.
A Teking Lagoon Tour is a must do.
There is fast and reliable Wi-Fi, better than on Rarotonga.
Etu Moana is right on the beach. It has coral which is exposed at low tide. There is a deep blue pool along the beach for swimming. Snorkeling is better on the other side of Aitutaki. In saying that, the beach in front of Etu Moana is fabulous for viewing fish, blue starfish and other sea creatures in the water.

Etu Moana is a fabulous relaxed boutique resort offering the personal touch. Jane and the team are wonderful hosts, and made our trip truly memorable. Nothing was too much trouble, from restaurant reservations, organising day trips and scooters to serving a delicious paella feast on our deck with a jug of sangria. We love the honesty bar & sundowner nights where you relaxed with cocktails & nibbles. The staff are all very friendly and do a great job of looking after the guests, and keeping the villas and gardens spotless. We will be back!!

I fully reccomend Etu Moana for a wonderful pacific island escape from the tedium of a rainy NZ winter. The bright blue ocean and white sand look just like the postcards The location is stunning, the resort well maintained and Jane and Stephen are wonderful hosts. Special thanks to Jane for organising tours, booking meals and making great suggestions for exploring the island. Nothing is too much trouble. She also makes a mean aperol spritz and is a good cook if you feel like eating in to watch the sun stting over the lagoon. The staff are all very friendly and do a great job of looking after the guests, and keeping the villas and gardens spotless. We loved the friendly cats, but the roosters crowing early in the morning took a bit of getting used to. but hey, they are all over the island. We will certainly be back.

Etu Moana, Aitutaki is the place to go, to get away from the rest of the world. Such peace and tranquillity - we have never experienced such relaxation. Absolutely everything you need is at hand but somehow it all still feels so simple and uncomplicated. We thought the resort was almost empty the first two days but it was in fact full! That’s how quiet it is. Jane and Steve are amazing - just the icing on Etu Moana’s cake. Jane checks in with you daily to make sure you haven’t forgotten about dinner bookings / excursions for the next day. The breakfast by the pool starts the day off perfectly. There are really good options for other meals (I had no troubles being gluten and dairy free - thank you Jane!!) dinner by the pool at Etu Moana on set nights, great restaurants close by and a great choice of cafes on the island. It’s so easy to eat healthy here - fresh fish, vegetables and fruit. Getting around is easy - we did lots of walking up in the mountain area. There are pushbikes available and the e Scooters were so much fun. We explored the whole island over a couple of days. You can even call a taxi! We learned so much about the island from our super friendly taxi driver. The islanders are just beautiful and always so helpful. Get out and see the fish and the coral, and the outer islands in the lagoon - it’s a highlight. As are the crabs on the beach at night. Jane - we will never forget the dinner you prepared for us to eat on our deck watching the sun set on the lagoon on our last night. You made Etu Moana feel like home for us. Our hearts and minds keep going back…
