Everyone should swim with whales at least once in their lives and should do it soon before it gets too crowded. Whaleswim is the perfect company to lead your adventure. Owner Rae and Sabri, who is the on the ground and water tour leader were fabulous, flexible, and easy going. Sabri has awesome water skills and as a bonus takes fabulous pictures. Whaleswim also has a special relationship with boat owner and captain Maire. Maire is a native of Moorea and knows the ocean and the whales very well. His boat is fast and very comfortable with plenty of shade and space. There is not a better whale boat in Moorea and it is much much better than most of them. We found friendly whales everyday and usually very quickly (huge advantage of Moorea over Tonga is that the whales are close to shore and typically in mellow seas so you spend a lot less time looking as opposed to swimming with the whales.) Maire is also very considerate of the whales and in tune with their behaviours.

We had the honeymoon suite at the Moorea Beach Lodge and it was very nice although small with a Lanai right on the beach with a view to the West and the gorgeous sunsets over the emerald water. We also stayed in another room for one night and it was good too. The internet was not perfect, but when it was not working, they had kayaks and bikes to use for free to keep you occupied and an electric powered open air mini jeep for rent, which was a great way to tour Moorea.

The meals provided by Whaleswim were prepared by our personal chef Barbara with the help of her husband Hans and every meal was very good. On the nights where a meal was not provided, there are some excellent restaurants within walking and or biking distance from the hotel. Breakfast was provided by the hotel each morning and also was very good.

I would recommend this trip to anyone, but strong swimming skills are very helpful and without strong swimming skills, the experience would not be nearly as awesome.

Swimming with the whales was a spiritual and exciting experience, Sabri and his team were fun and fantastic; They are very professional and trustworthy. The people we met on our group will be friends for life. I recommend you do this with your family or as a couple because it’s life-changing.
This was a “best ever” experience
Thanks WhaleSwim

For our second time snorkeling with humpbacks, we chose to go with WhaleSwim Adventures in Tahiti. The whole team was very attentive and professional, from pre-trip suggestions, to excellent service in-country with the whales, to courteous post-trip refund adjustment. We liked Tahiti over Tonga because the flights were direct (with a short ferry to Moorea) and the boat rides to the whales were short. The whales were similar in both places. The guides and boat captain diligently worked hard to get us on whales and get good photos. We bought the optional personal video, expensive but high quality and worth it! If we do whales again we will definitely travel with WhaleSwim, and I enthusiastically recommend everyone add snorkeling with whales to their bucket list.

Rae and her team are amazing. We felt like family from day one of our time in Tahiti. The whale swims were awesome, amazing, fantastic and so many more words to describe. Sabri Ben Hassine, our swim guide, helped all of us old folks when we couldn't swim quite fast enough to get to the whales and got us up close and personal. He would bring his beautiful daughter Pacifique and wife over to see us and have breakfast together. The accommodations were the best. Right on the water. The sunrise and sunsets were gorgeous everyday. And the cooks Hans and Barbara were delightful people and fantastic cooks. Maire & Teri'i our boat guides - big smiles and very careful with us and the whales. He kept us behaving and not getting too close but close enough to have many AHA moments. And then there is Rae. She is a one of a kind. Never stops smiling, super helpful for all your needs and even went out on the boat a couple of times with us. She drove to get cash or take us to town if we needed it and I just love her and love her whole team. Can't say enough.

We are a family of 5 (kids are in their 30s), and we're regular ocean goers with a love of aquatic creatures. When we saw this opportunity to swim with humpback whales in Tahiti, we jumped at the chance. Owner Rae, Tour Leader Sabri, Boat Captain Maire, First Mate Teri'i and Chefs Barbara and Hans went out of their way to make this the dream trip we had hoped for. We were in the water with humpbacks everyday, with absolutely incredible encounters, all captured by Sabri's lens. The food was very impressive, especially the candle lit gourmet dinners looking out over the beautiful bay, and the Moorea Beach Lodge was a charming, authentic hotel RIGHT at the water's edge, in a very secluded and gorgeous area of the island. We visited the large resorts on the island for cocktails and lunch, and we were so glad we were staying at the lodge instead of the contrived, touristy resorts. Moorea is not a place to go if you are looking for impeccable five star accommodations (the resorts are far from it), but Moorea Beach Lodge is a place to go for a laid back, authentic and comfortable stay on this unspoiled island. The whales are the real stars of this trip, and we'll never forget our very special time with them and everyone associated with WhaleSwim. I would not hesitate to recommend WhaleSwim Adventures for the most unbelievable adventure of a lifetime!
