the Arial tram ride is a totally different way to see the rainforest .you go up above the canopy and the view is amazing. it is slow enough with a few stops on the way so you can see all the different trees and the birds.we didnt see the monkeys but heard them.well worth the journey to get there

Caravan organized this and i was at first afraid it would be hoaky but our guide was impassioned about his country, about national parks in general, about the plant life that we were seeing. It was a moody eventually rainy day, and i don't know what this would have cost w/o being a Caravan offering ... but really glad to have had this as a last 'glimpse'.

The Pacific Rainforest Aerial Tram moves slowly up the mountain so you get good views of the forest and surrounding mountains. A guide rides in every car to answer questions and identify trees, flowers, birds, and animals. We saw a flock of about 10 scarlet macaws on the dirt road leading to the tram; but not a single bird while we were on the tram. It's a fun attraction if you're in the area but I wouldn't make a special trip.

The canopy tour was amazing - a must-see for travelers! Two of our family took the zipline down and two took the canopy tour back down. We really enjoyed the private tour we got as well.

We met the shuttle at a beach front hotel, and had the time of our lives. Two of our group of six stuck to the aerial tram and additional croc-tour, while the others tackled the zip lining/ waterfall climbing/ suspension bridge/ hike. It was fantastic. A great, physical outing in the coolness of the rainforest, with spectacular views in all directions. It felt very safe: they secure you at the start of each line and unhook you at the end, so you just go along for the ride. A guide remains with your group and talks about the wildlife, forest, etc. The waterfalls were not much of a challenge when we went because it was the end of the dry season, so it was more like a stream than a torrent. The hike was fabulous. Don't forget your water bottle! We did not require bug spray.
