The hotel is nice, good location between Manuel Antonio National Park and Quepos, with decadent flavor. It's a shame because with maintenance it would be beautiful. The rooms also need maintenance, but they are good: spacious, balcony with hammock, air conditioning ... The breakfast is also correct, with live cooking. Useful information: just on the road there are buses very often to go to the national park or the town for only 325 colones.
The worst thing is the attention of the staff: only correct. It seems that the owner and the employees do not have too much interest. In fact, there are never too many guests.
For example, the owner will never give you any call or notice from reception. Good thing the Wifi works perfectly.

I asume he's the owner, really nice guy. Room was sparkling clean and beds comfy. Off the road just enough there is no noise. Pool is rather deep if you like that sort of thing. Breakfast was good but not great.

The hotel helped our family to stay at the beach as the AC was barely functional. tough to survive in the day and at night it was too warm to sleep well. WiFi also was very spotty which was a challenge for the kids. The pool was nice which helped to offset the rooms which were tidied up, but not clean. Almost left after one day but couldn`t say no to another day at the beach so we toughed it out. Look for a better option.

Impression is that they cut corners and don't put a lot of $ back into property. Pool was fine but tiles coming off. Rooms are small but not well lighted. No table lamp is odd. TV does have a wide selection of sports channels and kids channels. No frig and there isn't room for one anyway. It's noisy at times because all rooms face the pool where folks hang out. There are only a few lounge chairs for the pool so don't expect to find one empty. Staff was hot/cold. Breakfast is very limited in choice and portions and no seconds. Wifi is fine in lobby but doesn't reach rooms. They won't replace your pool towels. Lots of nickel and diming here.

We stayed here for 4 nights and have no complaints. The room was spacious and clean with good A/C. Martin, the barman/waiter was excellent, very friendly and chatty, speaks about 5 languages fluently. We really enjoyed the location of the hotel. Manuel Antonio village is very busy and crowded, this hotel is a few minutes away by public transport in a quiet spot. It has a restaurant with a nice ambience and a good variety of food, it even has it's own wildlife park in the garden - we saw squirrel monkeys on 2 separate occasions and some colourful birds. It has a nice good size, very clean swimming pool. I don't remember having a problem with wifi, but even if we did I don't see how someone can rate this hotel with only 2 stars just because the wifi is iffy, really? Is that why you went to Costa Rica? Go there and make up your own mind.

Room tip: Upstairs room with slightly better outlook over the gardens
