We stayed one night, the bed smelled bad sheets that were never changed. the shower disgusting. The bathroom was so filthy dirty. No one was in the reception except this guy who was barefoot.I will never go back there

I can only say what I percieve to be true about this place. This is a rinkydink operation that should not be allowed to call itself a resort. There is a tiny lobby with nobody on the reception desk and a generally rundown look everywhere. The pool is tiny and the bar around the pool has been closed for years. There is no gift shop, no restaurant, and wifi olny in the lobby. The walk up to the property from the main road is almost a 45 degree slope and would challange all but the fittest person.
Some of the photos used to advertise this property are not the Flamingo Marina Resort. They are photos of the privately owned condominiums at the beach level below this resort. They also advertise access to a private beach which is also used by the condominium clients and, the locals have every right to use that beach too and they do. So, not so private. Most of that beach is dangerously rocky and often very rough anyway.
Oddly, the flamingo Marina Resort has no Marina. There is a marina being built down the road but it has nothing to do with this resort. The noise and dust from that marina construction was horrible. Trucks were dumping rocks all day every day. The construction is supposed to take years.
Some of the reviews that I have read about Flamingo Marina Resort are actually written about the private comdominiums, which are very nice but they are a completely different business. Read carefully!
Really folks, there is nothing resort-like about this place. It is in decline. Don't be tempted by their lower prices, there is a good reson why they are lowering prices. It is way over priced for what you get.

Dont book a room here!
The room we were given was not the room we booked. This was easily seen since this room was very torn down and there was a CONSTRUCTORAL difference, it did not have the VALTED ROOF, nor the GLAS DOOR in the living room. More over:
- It lacked the aircon in the living room
- It lacked plants and paintings
- It lacked the armchairs
- It lacked the sofa table
- Furnitures were very old and torn

But worse was that the appartment was very very dirty. Even though the receptionist claimed they had just been there cleaning when we checked in, there was a trail of ants in the kitchen by the sink clibing around on the kitchen bench. The outside of the once white cupboards were brownish of dirt. It was dust on the shelfs and the duvet in the bed had large brown stains. It was also a hole in the closet and a hole in the roof outside the door. I would say that this place was a dump...
Also, the pool bar, restaurant and dance floor had been permanently closed. Seemed like a dirty ghost hotel from the 70’s.
Since we are travelling with a 9 months baby and need to cook we showed the receptionist the ants etc and asked if she ad another room available (the one we booked that obviously was given to someone else). Unfortunatelly she had nothing to offer us so we had to check out and leave since it was already late.... and we still had to pay 200$ for a place we couldnt stay at! Horrible Hotel that shouldnt continue to scam people!
