Our stay in the casita was as restful and refreshing as anything we've experienced. Tim and Kim were terrific hosts who greeted us as we arrived and gave us the tour. Throughout our 9-day stay they were always available, but didn't hover. We found them to be a wealth of information, both on the local area and the ups and downs of expat living.
The casita was ideal for the two of us. Sharing it with a couple of kids would have been entirely workable. Sharing it with another adult couple probably would have been uncomfortable. Kim did a sensational job putting together a coffee table book with all the local beaches and specific driving instructions. Rent a 4-wheel drive vehicle when you come. Most beach roads are unpaved and a sense of adventure is a handy item to pack.
I can't begin to recall all the different species of birds we saw just sitting on the patio. A friendly coati named Doug ate us out of house and home the first day, so we always stocked up on extra papaya and cantaloupe afterward. A restaurant with a sensational view is less than a 5-minute walk away when you want to eat someone else's cooking, or you can cook up a storm in the kitchenette.
We enthusiastically give two thumbs up to this lovely corner of heaven and the great people who live there. Pura vida!More
