OVERALL: This is a simple, plain country sandwich shop. Nothing fancy here, and the inside of the restaurant is rather small. But the prices are reasonable, and you'll get some of the best, tastiest sandwiches that you'll ever lay your teeth into, and the prices are reasonable. I am here occasionally on business, and it's one of my favorite places. Highly recommended.
LOCATION: On the side of highway, just west of I-65, beside a Raceway gas station. The parking lot is gravel.
FOOD: Sandwiches in various styles. They're very flavorful, fresh, and dressed anyway that you like them. If you don't specify anything then they come piled with various toppings and sauces. Mmmm mmmm good!! The sandwiches have a very substantial amount of meat on them. This place does not skimp. See the pic that I posted. Try the banana pudding. It's some of the best.
COST: Neither cheap or expensive. Sandwiches, fully dressed, are $6.29. For $2 more you can add a drink and a bag of chips. The drink is refillable. My meal, a combo of sandwich, drink, and chips was $8.97 with tax.
CLEANLINESS: Clean. Counter, tables, floor, serving areas, all clean. Noted no problems at all. I did not use the restroom, so cannot report on that area.
ATMOSPHERE: I rated the atmosphere "Excellent," because it's meant to be a simple, country diner, and it nails that perfectly.
GENERAL: You order your meal at he counter, and then have a seat while it's prepared, and you pick it up. There are now waiters. It's all counter service. Service is courteous and fast. My meal was ready in 2-3 minutes.
Try this place. You'll talk about it to your friends.
