We had a good time at time at this beautiful hotel with lots of beautiful decorations, fittings fitted to it. Locations is extremely convenient located within the town center. Staff are friendly and very helpful throughout out stay. Our suite room is large and beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean.

It's not always one gives an excellent rating, but this charming boutique hotel is simply exceptional. The lobby is exquisitely decorated with old skool furniture and an elaborate display cabinet featuring Peranakan items from kasut manik (beaded slippers) to colourful ceramics. It is situated along Heeren Street, which runs parallel to its more famous (though not necessarily more illustrious) Jonker Street, which makes it ideal being away from, yet close enough to, all the hustle and bustle.

The rooms are well laid out and tastefully decorated with Peranakan influence, but not overbearingly so. From the looks of the pictures posted it would seem that no two rooms are furnished similarly. Cleanliness was top notch (one of the few hotel rooms I've ever been to where I didn't fell it necessary to put on the complimentary slippers). One could always unplug the nightlamp if additional sockets were needed so no issue there. They're conveniently located at the bedside anyway. The facilities were adequate, although as other guests have commented, the provision of a safe would take it up a notch.

The courtyards (as its namesake suggests) are decorated with water features, plants and items such as the lesung (mortar) and batu giling (millstone), and it floods the corridors with soft natural light . Chairs, tables and benches are arranged along the corridors for one to enjoy these corridors with a book in hand.

The rooms up front (G1 and F1) will probably encounter more human traffic as guests further back will have to pass by these rooms first. And there's plenty of bays for cars at the carpark, albeit quite a distance away (approx. 200m), and reachable through side alleys. The back entrance provides for easy access instead of having to go around the block.

Would I recommend this boutique hotel to family and friends? A resounding YES!

Room tip: Rooms towards the back are quieter. Rooms on the ground floor are cooler.

A beautiful little hotel within easy walking distance of all the attractions Melaka has to offer. Nice clean quiet rooms at a decent price, breakfast is served in the back of a shop over the road in a nice friendly cafe.

We booked ourself into their Deluxe room, we are very pleased with our stay. Check in was great with friendly staff that show us the way to the car park, gave us a local map & guide us to our room. The room is beautiful, clean, and cozy. We had a fantastic weekend over in Melaka.
