We went for the multi course kabab meal at the in-house restaurent named Minsitry of Kabab or a special occcasion. The place had nice view of the pool although most of the seating was on a long corridor that also doubles as the entrance. We were informed that there will be a set multi course meal to be served course by course with many dishes. The server recited the entire menubeforehand but there was no written menu to guide us as the food was served.
But the experience was made terrible by the way the process went. For every course, the server inquired whether we would like ot have the dish or not! Also since we were two, he also kept asking after each course whether it was ok just to offer one serving for both of us! Even when it came to desserts, he informed that there were four sweet dishes which were included in the set menu but was it ok to serve just one portion of and which one of the four items on offer we would like.Well it would have been very difficult because the micro mini jalebis that were served looked like they were leftovers from a previous round of preparation! For each item we had to say yes and then confirm whether we wnated one or two portions-although we had clearly booked two sets of meals. It was very irritating, to say the least.
The quality of food was ok but the way it was served spolied the entire evening for us. The idea of a set menu is to help the customer enjoy the meal with all the offerings. But it appeared as if we would have to make a special request each time,as if asking for a favour.Part of the problem could have been resolved by having a written menu of the day.
Overall a very disappointing and irritating experience.
