Ibiza The Fern Resort & Spa is located at Amtala, on Diamond Harbour road. It is in the outskirts of Kolkata or rather you can say extended Kolkata. It was a one/one & a half hour ride from my place which is in North Kolkata.
As soon as we entered the property they did thermal scanning, sanitized our bags & hands. Then we were greeted to some freshly made mocktails.
After our checking in procedure, we were guided to our rooms. The rooms are spacious and had all the necessary amenities. The bathroom too was spacious and had a bathtub. The beds and pillows were extremely soft & very comfortable which made sure you doze off to sleep and relax. The service too was really great.
Soon after that we went to Dolce Vita Restaurant for our lunch. We tried out their buffet. The spread was grand and the quality of each of the items was really great!
The pool is huge and the water is cleaned on a regular basis and is very well maintained. Apart from the pool they also have a Spa, Discotheque (which is operational mainly during weekends), outdoor sports facilities (such as badminton, basketball, trampoline), indoor games (like chess, carrom & billiards), a small gaming zone (like the ones at shopping malls), a small outdoor gym (which is in the process, still not accessible), adventure sports (like boating, comando walk,archery, cycling,etc), wildlife (like rabbits, different species of birds, ducks, etc.) & they also have a kids zone which has lots of rides both indoor & outdoor.
We also tried the Ala Carte dinner at the Dolce Vita Restaurant and the food did not disappoint at all. The next day we had a lavish breakfast buffet again at the Dolce Vita Restaurant. We also tried out food from the La Deportivo Sports Bar and again the quality & taste of the food was exceptional.
To conclude I must say that it is a very well maintained resort, service is really good & is just the perfect spot for a weekend staycation!
