Solacetone is a heritage bungalow that is run by a kind family. This 100 year old bungalow is a perfect place to beat the crowd of Darjeeling. I wish I had more time to stay here and finish my incomplete projects but I made the best out of my stay. The hosts are nice and kind. They'll make you feel like home. The place is really amazing.
Solacetone is situated on the hilly steps of pictureques Takdah valley near Darjeeling. Rabin and his parents transformed this place something remkarble, reaching beyond its usual rustic look, with their warmth and hospitality. Nice clean cottages, uncle and aunty's exceptionally delicious dishes, multiple key vantage points nearby, such as - tinchuley view point, rongliot tea garden, lamahatta pines forest etc made this place a "must go" if one is looking for a cozy relaxed stay in the midst of mother nature.
P.S. I must mention Tamang - Rabin's cousin - who was at the wheel throughout the journey. He is a skilled driver and an informed guide. I would recommend him if one is visiting this range and need to rent a car.
