Everything about this place is beautiful. Only a short boat ride from main land it's worth the 5 Euros. But try and get here early as loads of tours arrived on boats and millions of people invaded the small island making it suddenly very cramped.

We took the boat from the hotel nearby ours. The trip was three hours long. A beautiful spiritual island, very interesting, well worth a visit.

Our tour group took a boat out to the island. The 15th-Century church itself was interesting, and the museum was filled with souvenirs from sailors celebrating a safe return or hoping for one. It also contained Roman relics. The island is manmade, by throwing rocks on a natural outcropping, together with wrecked ships or seized ships filled with rocks. The mainland town of Perast was beautiful, and full of fading relics of its wealthy past. Time might be better spent in nearby Kotor, a beautiful walled city.

This is a man made island with a tiny church to honor Mother Mary. For €5 for both ways, you take a boat ride to the island, about 10 minutes away. There is a small entrance fee if going to the museum. Inside the church there are many paintings, tapestry and silver plates hanging on the wall from some believers. The scenery from the island looking back at the villages with mountains backdrop was gorgeous. It was worth visit just for the view.
