The location and setting of the resort is nice. A well thought out functional resort with well appointed standalone bungalows. The atmosphere automatically puts you in a relax mode. Even the staff seem to have a very relaxed and friendly approach to service. In general the stay was good.
There are quite a few things that need attention. We took a package which includes 2 hrs of spa per person. We went to the spa 10 minutes ahead of the appointed time. There was no staff. The spa was completely empty. It seems they hire masseurs from outside. Two masseurs came over about 5 minutes late. My wife had a Thai massage and said it was very good. I had an oil massage and it was terrible. The masseuse clearly has not had proper training in massage as well as in hospitality.
The breakfast was definitely not star class. A coffee machine would surely help. Every small cafe on the street in Pai has fantastic coffee. Cock tails and drinks in the bar were good. The rooms, though nicely done up are not cleaned properly. The shower area was full soap marks on the walls from the previous guest. Hot water was sporadic and didn't have a regular temperature or flow. The tap on the wash basin was shaky. No safe in the room. It would help to have more than two hangers in the closet. Hope this helps the management to look at the required details and improve.

WOW! – The first word that comes into my head when I think about my stay at the Puri Pai Hotel. My pictures will explain all, but it is potentially the best hotel I have EVER stayed in to date. Filled with pure relaxation, heavenly bliss and a home-away-from-home feel this hotel really has it all.

Upon arrival we checked into the Mystic King Room with a stunning mountain view and a log fire just a small walk in front of our room. Waking up every day, opening the curtains and being greeted with the beauty of the Pai Mountains was absolute bliss.

The hotel itself was spotless and full of complete luxury. It's situated about a 10 minute drive away from Pai Town but the hotel provide a shuttle service every hour (you can also call this whenever you like however there will be a small surcharge of 200 baht – which is around £4). We even called the hotel after a late night on the town (shamefully at around 4am) and they picked us up from the bar for the same price.

Watching the sun set here was amazing (you can enjoy a cocktail at the restaurant – which is very chilled – whilst you watch it slowly dropping into the sky. They had a good sized swimming pool and some of the villas even had their own private pools attached.

The staff at the hotel was extremely accommodating and friendly. The hotel also provides breakfast packages and you have a selection of around 8 different breakfast dishes to choose from (along with a small buffet sporting croissants, fruits and pastries etc). The breakfast itself is very tasty and probably better than anything you will find close by.

I must also compliment the comfiness of the beds. We was in Thailand for 3 weeks and during the time we spent in this hotel I had the best night's sleep of the whole trip.

Overall staying in this hotel was a dream and we are already looking forward to our next trip to Pai as we will definitely be staying in this hotel.

We were traveling in a family group so thought that staying in PuriPai 3 bedrooms Villa would be a good choice. The mountain view indeed a plus point. However, bedroom has no mirror, which made it very inconvenient for ladies to make up every time. It's 10 mins drive distance to town, you can opt for their free shuttle (only twice per day) or pay 60Baht per pax to follow your own time (other resorts charge only 25 Baht per pax). Breakfast is terrible, we expect a decent breakfast however there was minimal choices with cold coffee. Each person can select one "main course" (either noodle, porridge, or western style breasfast) and "unlimited" for drinks, bites, and fruits. We also had a lunch in their restaurant, which was a wrong decision. Under the 30 degree hot weather, their restaurant was so hot, stuffy, because there's no air-conditioning. We wanted to finish our meals as quick as possible however they missed out some of our orders, ended up our parents had to wait there for 30minutes again for the fried rice, haven't mention the ridiculous price for the meal and the "ice" for mineral water. Staffs seems not clear about situations in many times, which took us a few times to explain our concerns to different people.
We might be back to Pai, but we won't be back to PuriPai anymore.

My partner and I stayed at PuriPai for one night and it exceeded every expectation we had. The beautiful rooms over look the mountains and it is very quiet and private. The staff went above and beyond, helping us and answering every question we had. They were extremely friendly and the service was amazing! The only regret we have is not staying here longer.

Let’s start with the positive:
- fantastic view and quiet environment
- having a car or motorbike is a must if you stay here (otherwise would be very inconvenient as it is 10mn drive from Pai village)
- nice breakfast

Negative:
- looks like a 5 star resort that has passed its time (rundown, poorly maintained), let’s say it is run like a 3 star hotel that is becoming rusty
- no hot water and broken shower (we complained and notified the staff but nobody cared to fix it), poor service then
- few guests hence while you enjoy the peaceful environment, you might feel like being in a ghost town

As long as you pay less than USD80 p. night, it is a great value for money hotel out of touristy Pai! We might come back since we got for what we paid!
