My second week on Roatan I decided to move to this resort and try it out. This small resort is relaxed and friendly and away from the busyness of west bay and west end. The resort is made of wood and is beautiful and the planting lovely. Just need insect repellent to keep bugs at bay. The small restaurant serves delicious and large meals - the red snapper is wonderful.
I snorkel and freedive only and mainly went off the dock. Best early in the am - as there is boat traffic and it can get a bit oily. However some cool critters under the dock and a resident barracuda. Otherwise West End is short cab ride away. I also went with the Dive Company located at the resort and had a customized snorkel trip -got to see a turtle , moray eel, squid, two groupers and lots more and went with divers one other day and got to see a huge Rainbow Parrotfish. It was cool.
I went to local Carambola gardens and also Gumbalina park - easy to get to these things.
Friday night some wonderful music by local musician in the restaurant. A great place.More
