We booked this for 4 nights during our first visit to Croatia. Finding the place was a bit of a challenge using our GPS which took us to the right area but wrong house. My wife then realized that Toni had provided good directions in his email which I had failed to read completely. Jana and Toni welcomed us with open arms. We dined in on our first and third evenings. Toni's cooking was terrific as we're his breakfasts. On the other two evenings Toni recommended delightful and reasonable nearby restaurants. Each day Jana and Toni provided excellent suggestions of where to visit. A thoroughly enjoyable and memorable stay.

My girlfriend and I have just spent a week at Hvareno:
- the place is super nice, quiet, cosy and decorated with care
- our hosts were outstanding, highly attentive, very warm and kind
- the vicinity of charming villages like Vrboska and the myriad of beautiful and secluded beaches are another great asset
- if you're lucky enough to attend Jana's yoga retreat: don't think twice, just go!

Our stay there probably ranks in our top 3 holidays (and we're seasoned travelers)!

We stayed at Hvareno for 3 nights (not having booked the Yoga retreat) and found it very relaxing. The countryside was unspoilt and the scents of the herbs and wild flowers were intoxicating at that time of the year. We had a hire car to explore the island and particularly liked the old road to Hvar on top of the mountains. The views were magnificent.
Everything that is said here about Toni and Jana I wholeheartedly agree with. Not only can you expect friendly and welcoming hosts but also interesting conversations that make you forget you are a paying guest.
The highlight for us was walking with Jana and her donkeys Panos and Lilly up the mountain. She also brought another young donkey called Lula along, which I suspect will sooner or later end up with Jana (a great animal lover) as well. We never knew that donkeys could be so inquisitive and entertaining. Lilly adores trainers and immediately started nibbling mine whereas Panos had an eye on my straw hat.
So if you love nature, peace and tranquillity you will feel right at home.

We spend a week with Toni and Jana for a Yoga retreat in September 2015 and i would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a calm and relaxing surrounding away from the crowds, individual old stone houses refurbished with love by Toni himself and very well thought yoga classes by Jana (Shadow Yoga) which i would highly recommend to anyone looking for a sincere yoga practice. The place can also be recommended for people using the place as Bed&Breakfast (without Yoga), breakfast from Toni is not missing a piece of what you would like (fresh juice and local bread, cheese, fruits etc pp). Jana and Toni are so knowledgeable about the island, they will show you the nicest secluded bays and other things to see in beautiful Hvar. Highly recommended! We will go again in 2017!

Words can't do this place justice. Jana and Toni were the friendliest hosts from the moment we arrived and as we happened to be the only guests there at the time they gave us the pick of whichever room we wanted.
Armed with their knowledgeable advice on where to go we explored the coastline at Vrboska and Dubovica, climbed Sveti Nikola (surprisingly high for such a narrow island and with spectacular views), investigated the main population centres of Hvar Town and Stari Grad and also the smaller and out-of-the-way villages of which there were hundreds.
The complex itself has been lovingly restored from a tumbledown state by Toni and is a very pretty and peaceful place just to sit and be.
Two highlights of eating out were Konoba Kokot and Dvor Dubokovic, and the highlight of eating in was Toni's fresh squid risotto!
If you visit Hvar island, make this your base for an unforgettable holiday - thanks loads Toni and Jana :)
