I recently stayed for 7 days in the hotel while on business in Brazil. I found the hotel staff very pleasant and helpful. The room was small but clean, and comfortable by Brazilian standards (e.g., beds somewhat hard & it is the same in many hotels in Brazil). This is a hot time of year in Mato Grosso de Sul, and the air conditioning worked great. The hotel serves an all-you-can-eat typical Brazilian breakfast that is good. One lunch there was OK, not great. One dinner there was not very good; my order of lasagna came piping hot -- in a microwave package (I was very surprised but just ate it). There was free wi-fi in the room that worked OK most of the time, so no complaints on that score. I usually prefer to stay in pousadas when traveling in Brazil, but on this trip I had no choice. I can recommend the Brumado for business travelers, although I suggest they find other places to eat lunch and dinner (like the great but expensive Casa do Peixes that is nearby).
