I traveled to Austin for the F1 Gran Prix on 10/25 and stayed at the Hyatt Regency for the evening. The hotel was a very nice clean Hotel with great customer service. I highly recommend this Hotel to anyone looking to stay in Austin.

We stayed at the Hyatt during F1 weekend, so I kept this state of affairs in mind. The location of the hotel is great, right on the river, handy to SoCo and to downtown, easy to get to MOPAR and I-35. We were able to get a newly remodeled room, which was nicely appointed; our friends were less fortunate, and described their room as, "well, it was a hotel room." The restaurant of the hotel was only open for breakfast, other meals were available in the bar. The breakfast was menu or buffet- and both were very good. The omelet bar chef was both very good and accomodating, and had a litany of one-liners. For the bar, the food menu it was actually pretty broad, and there is a sushi bar that is surprisingly good for a hotel- try the SoCo roll! Bar service was variable, sometimes speedy and sometimes annoyingly slow. Reception, valet, and bell service were all really great, they really were engaging without being annoying, and obviously had been trained to not hold their hand out for tips. The one big problem the hotel had was leaking and windiness in the lobby. There was big storm that blew through during our stay, and there were buckets and towels everywhere, water leaking under the doors, and very breezy, making it uncomfortable to sit in the bar at times. Hoping they will remedy that during their remodel! Overall we had a great time and a comfortable stay despite this. The hotel staff clearly worked hard to make it a smooth weekend for F1 attendees, and even provided rain ponchos and umbrellas to guests. Recommend giving them a try when you are in Austin for a spell!

Overall, a very nice hotel in one of the most beautiful parts of Austin. If you are healthy and able to take long walks, then this is a great place for you. Otherwise, you will have to take a cab or keep calling Uber to get to other sight-seeing places

This hotel is very well appointed, and is extremely clean. Staff was extremely professional. Food in the restaurant (Marker 10) was great, and the waitstaff was fantastic. I would definitely opt for this hotel again, when visiting for any event at the Austin Convention Center. It is also within walking distance of much of the famous Austin nightlife.

Came here for a Birthday Celebration and would definitely recommend this hotel. The moment we checked in, the staff greeted us and were very helpful with any questions we had about the hotel and the area. It is in an excellent location, walking distance to the main night life area and has a nice walking path steps away from the hotel. There is a great restaurant Marker 10 with outdoor seating that over looks the lake, which offers boat tours and paddleboating. The pool was a bit cold, even with 90 degree weather, no one was willing to take the plunge, but the hot tub was a perfect temperature for relaxing any time of day. The rooms were cozy with a fantastic lake view from the 12th floor and overlooking the Congress St bridge which was is a host to bat watching if your'e there during the season before they leave. Overall, I was extremely happy with this Hyatt and would definitely stay there again when in town.

Room Tip: The higher floors have the best view of the lake, but must be requested.
