The Hillside Farmacy surprised me with a somewhat small menu, yet quite tasty choices. I ate there for breakfast and enjoyed the fried egg sandwich and the blueberry pancakes. Wow! Both were very well prepared, beautifully presented on the plates, and tasted delicious. The location is just slightly north of downtown off the I-35 highway. Worth the visit if you have not been here before!

I was so excited to go try this place with my daughter and her boyfriend while I was visiting from Los Angeles.... the drinks were delicious and to our pleasant surprise, we landed at our table just as happy hour started! Unfortunately, our waiter was not near as excited about is being there as we were. He seemed like we were bothering him the few times he did come to the table.
This place has good food, great atmosphere, and all that is overshadowed by crappy service.
The nice guy that delivered each of our plates was all smiles... perhaps they should consider switching that arrogant, crappy waiter with the perky and happy guy!

Visiting from St. Louis and friends suggested meeting at Hillside Farmacy. It is a cute place. I didn't think the food was outstanding, but I can understand why it is one of our friend's favorite places. The staff is so friendly and you feel like you have stepped back in time. I would happily meet them there again, but I am not sure I would go on my own.

The burger was a nice thick juicy old-fashioned one! Kambooza was like a rum sour - very good. Coffee soda was unusual and tasty! Atmosphere was beautiful antiques.

Friends took us here for a special brunch, it was. The owners kept the theme of the building's past life as a pharmacy and ran with it. It's perfectly set up and decorated as an early 19th century pharmacy. The mason jar water glasses fit right in.

The food matches the decor, with home style gravy and biscuits to a perfect classic American breakfast you can't go wrong. They have special morning cocktails with all ingredients made in house. Farm to table style dining at its best. It's a treat! Be sure to visit if you're in Austin.
