Our stay at Fairmount Austin was the best hotel experience ever. Staying at Fairmont Austin made up for a bad first few days we came from a different hotel.

Check in:
As soon as you walk in, the hotel feels serene with it's open space and indoor areas with running water. We were greeted by a very welcoming front desk member named Jaka. Jaka went Above and Beyond to make us feel welcomed and at home. We told her about our experience at the previous resort and she was so kind and understanding. The treatment we received at check-in more than made up for the crappy 2 days before at a previous resort.

Customer Experience:
Let me clarify that we did not book the hotel through them directly. We booked through a third-party site because we got a great deal. This did not stop the hotel staff from treating us with FIVE STAR service. There was a shift manager at the front desk named Alessandra. Alessandra treated us like royalty. She learned of our experience at the previous resort and went above and beyond to make our stay way better. She provided us with a complementary upgrade so that we enjoyed our stay. Alessandra went out of her way to check in with us to see how our day was going and to help suggest daily activities. Every hotel in the world needs their Jaka and Alessandra. This is what makes a hotel worthy of a 5-star review.

The Hotel and Room:
Immediately when you walk in, there are wide-open welcoming spaces. You can hear running water inside that provides with a soothing and welcoming sensation. The front desk is easy to find and accessible. There is a gift shop, a bar, and a couple of restaurants on the lobby-level floor. The Revue was closed, but it looked AMAZING. It looked like a restaurant with other mini restaurants inside. We did not try this since it was closed due to the pandemic, but we will definitely come back and try once it's open again.

Our room was phenomenally clean and well-decorated. The room had beautiful modern finishes in the bathrooms, gorgeous wallpaper and decor, and the room Smelled clean. LOL smell should never be a concern in a hotel room, but in past experiences it has. So I've got to add here that this room smelled CLEAN. The room was well layed out and we loved it so much that we did not want to leave.

Location:
Fiarmont Austin is located right next to the Austin Convention center and at a close distance to everything awesome in the heart of Austin. There were a whole bunch of those electric scooters on the corner of the hotel's lot, so we just took two and went to SOCO, see the bats, had Home Slice pizza, and scootered over to the Capitol all in one go. We felt safe the whole time in the area.

THE CONS:
To be honest, there weren't too many. When we arrived, there were some minor issues in the room; chromecast not working, a lamp wasn't working, and two outlets next to the bed were not working. We made one call to the "Royal Service" line, and by the time we came back from breakfast they were all fixed. It was quick and efficient. Other than that, it was a little annoying having to crouch in front of the temperature scanner at the entrance, but that really didn't take away whatsoever from the amazing experience. I just figured if I was going to leave a review, it would be a completely honest one!

CONCLUSION:
We will never stay anywhere else other than Fairmont Austin when travelling to Austin, TX. Fairmont Austin is by far the best hotel in Austin because of their amazing staff and the hotel facilities and rooms. Front desk staff Alessandra and Jaka deserve a huge raise. It is because of them that we will forever stay at the Fairmont Austin when traveling here.
