Great location right in the heart of everything in Austin. The hotel looks brand new and very modern. There is a casual restaurant on the second floor, that has games and great outdoor seating overlooking the city. Also, they have a cafe on the ground floor, with a great selection of snacks and drinks. The included breakfast had somewhat of a small selection, but they kept refilling it and the staff seemed very attentive. The one negative I can think of is that we found out while leaving that there was complimentary cocktail hour in the evening. We only wish we were told that on check-in, we would have loved to go. Other than that the hotel was very nice, and worth the price in a city that is getting more and more expensive!

Stayed at the Element recently for business. I was going to be there for a week with evenings free, so I wanted to explore the excellent nightlife in downtown Austin. Chose the property based on location and it did not disappoint. Just a block away from dozens of great restaurants and bars with live music.

The hotel itself is new, modern, and super clean. Hotel staff was friendly and responsive to any concerns or questions. When I first arrived, I was concerned about traffic noise, but it died down after 6pm. Caroline’s has an upstairs bar, which is great for hanging out on the patio until dinner time. Restaurant/coffee shop on the first floor is good (ate at the restaurant the first night and pastries/breakfast tacos in the morning). Overall excellent experience. My new favorite hotel in Austin!

We enjoyed our Memorial Day visit to Austin and our stay at the Element. The location is walking distance to EVERYTHING! We walked to the Capital,6th Street, the river to kayak, SoCo! The staff was very helpful with restaurant and bar suggestions. We borrowed cowboy boots to wear. Breakfast was good. When we return to Austin, we will stay at The Element.

I stayed here for a conference that was at a hotel nearby but I wanted an SPG property. They have two hotels under one roof (Aloft and Element) which was confusing at first but after you get the hang of it it’s nice since they have something for everyone and every mood. Element is a more quite and subdued lobby with aloft more trendy, W like, party feel. Cafe staff was great. No pool is a minus and they say you can use the Westin pool but the information they gave was confusing and contradictory. Turns out I can use it like any other joe off the street and there is no special access for Element guests. Should get the story straight on that to avoid misleading guests.

My husband and I were celebrating our 12th anniversary and chose this hotel to stay at and we couldn’t have had a better experience! The hotel
is beautiful and modern. The room was exceptional and the view from our window was AMAZING. The valet gentleman were very helpful and quick! Eric checked us in and he was very friendly, I mentioned to him we were celebrating our anniversary and after a night out on the town when we came back to our room we had a sweet note and a champagne bottle waiting for us!
Had an amazing first time in Austin and getting back to our hotel every night completed our day. Thanks to all the staff at Aloft!
