Amazing stay! Centrally located on the town square across the street from the Opera House. Close to all historic sites such as Succession Hill, churches and other points of interest. The hotel has a restaurant onsite and serves an awesome Sunday brunch that people come to from miles around. Lovely stay!

The Belmont Inn was a treat to stay at, and a good value for the money. It's exactly what I would expect for an old but well maintained historic hotel, with appropriate upgrades for the modern era, all without losing any of its charm. The staff were quite friendly and helpful, and the complementary drink upon check-in was much appreciated at the hotel's bar, I enjoyed sipping it at the end of the veranda, overlooking the festive downtown square at sunset. I didn't try the Belmont's dinner options though, as I wanted to walk the town square and try one of the many restaurants nearby. The hotel's continental breakfast the next morning was standard fare, although the surroundings made it a relaxing way to start the day.

It is difficult to know where to begin. I had a very unique reason for staying at The Belmont Inn. My husband Hamp and I fell in love with the inn years ago. Since then, it has changed owners, but the same peaceful spirit remains. Sadly, I lost my husband my best friend on Easter of this year. So, I needed someplace special to be alone with my thoughts and memories. The Belmont Inn was that and more. The front desk staff took wonderful care of me to upgrading my room for a night 2, I hadn't planned on but needed. The accommodations were charming and everyhung was super clean. 5 stars!The restaurant and bar staff were exceptional. The food was terrific and the customer service was even better. Even when I sat rocking on The Veranda I was taken care of by the staff cleaning up and changing lights. I don't have anything more to say, but thank you for a weekend that met all my unique needs.I hope to see you for my next trip up memory lane.

Beds were comfortable but window air conditioner was noisy. Air conditioner would trip surge protector during the night and I would have to get up and reset. No air conditioning in dining area in center second floor of building.
Very primitive facility for the price...
Thanks so much for your positive feedback. The historic Belmont Inn is 121 years old and has its quirks. It is DEFINITELY not like a chain hotel. As for price, we are priced lower EVERYTIME than a chain or comparable hotel in this marketplace. I appreciate that you brought up the the a/c unit issue. We strive to provide a safe and comfortable environment for every guest.
My son and I stayed one night on our way to Asheville, North Carolina. We both wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back. From the very beginning of our stay we were welcomed with opened arms by one of the managers, Misa. He was so accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable in regards to the beautiful and mysterious Belmont Inn. He even took us on a tour. Afterward he made sure we knew to make ourselves at home. That evening my son and I went on our own little ghost tour. We felt like we had the place to ourselves along with some possible spirits. We also took a walk in the quaint square. The cutest little town square ever!!! We had the best night! We can't wait to go back. We met a lot of the staff as well. They are all so friendly and have a lot of knowledge to share. This Inn has the best staff! You just have to visit and see and feel this Inn for yourself. It's quite an experience. It's such a beautiful Inn with a very interesting history. We highly recommend the Belmont and want to thank all of the staff that we encountered....especially Misa.
