It is cherry blossom season which makes the grounds of this temple both incredibly beautiful - and also a little crowded. Despite the busyness the Sanzen-in Temple was well worth the visit as it offers beautiful gardens filled with spring colour and textures and a number statues and shrines. I really enjoyed my morning strolling through these gardens - I also enjoyed the other temple located up the hill.
