The staff hardly speak English .
Laundry came back with missing item.
The hotel refused to compensate ...and they charged for the item....
Room are very old style and the rates are too high for what you get.
The breakfast was fair but the hall is small for the capacity of guests and you might wait 15 minutes to get a table.
Front desk and bell boys doesn't speak English .

Went to Kyoto for a pre-wedding photoshoot. Stayed here from 1st April till 4th April 2016.

Room was so big and spacious!! Even the toilet was so big!! Perfect for me to change into my wedding gown and for my hair and makeup to be done in the room.

Hotel staffs were extremely friendly too!

Would definitely stay here again!

We stayed for 2 nights at Nikko Princess. Although been given a room with 2 standard beds not a double/queen (fault of flight centre for booking it incorrectly) they were accommodating to try and fix the situation. The hotel is within walking distance to the big brand shops and many restaurants. You can walk to the station however will feel long if you have bags. The restaurants in the hotel often get booked out and seem expensive so we did not eat there. The staff were very helpful.
The beds are very firm (not comfortable for me), pillows were good as they had 2 options.

Excellent stay at the Nikko Princess Hotel in Kyoto. We like to get out and visit neighborhoods on foot, so the location near Nishiki Market, Gion, and the eastern temples and shrines was great. Not too far from Kyoto Station, perhaps 1000 yen taxi. Hotel room and amenities very good, including a nice deep furo-style tub, and the staff highly professional and cordial. Would stay again in an instant.

Room Tip: It's tucked away and sound-proofed, I would imagine all rooms are quiet.

We stayed at this hotel for one night. It is clean, efficient, with professional staff. Our room is nice and spacious for the two of us. Breakfast is plenty with good variety. The location is close to the shopping area and food corridors and in walking distance to Gion. Plenty of inexpensive restaurants nearby. The only thing that is keeping this hotel from a five star is that it appears to be a bit tired.
