Honestly this hike was more advanced than some of the reviews had described. We were so happy to have worn “crossamphibian” shoes. Basically hiking shoes that work well in water. The trails include tree root scrambles, stream crossing, rocks and mud. We took along the walking sticks offered at the start of the trail. We packed light snacks and fresh water. Absolutely worth the effort, the three falls are breathtaking. You can get so close the spray and mist are refreshing. It was a perfectly challenging hike, with beautiful falls to motivate you to keep going. The steepest slick areas have ropes to help get up and down. We did notice a few people struggling with open toe shoes and small children. The closest fall is gorgeous and worth the hike. If you have trouble making to that one, this may be too challenging of a hike. We had a fantastic time, we went quite early and were the second group to start. By the end there were quite a few people there.
