The hotel is quite good but need some renovations. The toilet was a bit broken, the shower has no curtains.
The breakfast is very good. Coffee tea, juices and many different dishes.
The WiFi connection is not very good. We stay few hours without connection.
We booked one nights with Booking.com and decide to stay one more night (with an other booking.com reservation ) at a lower price. We realized too late that the lady at the reception make the same price as the night before. We payed few euros more than expected. Not a big problem, but not honest.
What a pity. For that I suggest all travelers to pay attention at the bill.

Room Tip: The rooms with sea view are a bit more crowded, but not a big problem for us.

Large, comfortable rooms in a modern six-storey building just north of the Old Souk in Khasab, near the seafront.
The manager was extremely helpful with local arrangements, and the hotel offers free airport transfers.
There was a good breakfast selection with freshly-made omelettes (but only instant coffee). For lunch or dinner, however, you can get better and cheaper meals in the small restaurants in the streets behind the hotel.

Hi we stayed in this hotel for a night. its a descent hotel. The location is also very nice. Bassa beach is just 2 Kms from the hotel. The wifi also works good. the only issue was the food. they have ver limited menu for ordering. we will recommend to go to lu lu which is also very close to the hotel and you can get lots of option at a good price.

the breakfast spread was also good.

Room Tip: sea view room

we decide to go to Khasab as i was looking for a place full of nature as this one
i chose this hotel because it was the one with better prices in the small town
the hotel is clean and with friendly staff however it looks old already and in some ares need renovation
They have view directly for the sea and is perfect to sleep because there are no noise
Regarding the restaurant i must say that is not the best as the buffet is not having many good varieties of food dishes and the quality of the food also not the best i believe that there is a problem with the supplies as this is a remote place
I consider this a good option to stay and i consider to come back

We stayed at the Diwan Al Amir for two nights to go on the Dhow cruise from Khasab. The location is very convenient for this and also if you wish to explore Khasab.

When we first checked in we were offered a room with two single beds pushed together (as they did not have a king available with views as we had requested) - travelling with my Husband. We declined and they put us in a mountain view king instead. No problems there but when we entered the room, the porter began to spray some kind of air freshener all over the (filthy!) carpets - to disguise the very overpowering cigarette smell. We sat in the room for a bit and then called the front desk to ask to be moved. I had specifically requested a smoke-free room, and he assured me that this was but that many guests don't care and smoke in them anyway. He was very quick to move us to a different room, with no smell but equally dirty carpets.

We couldn't connect to the Wifi in our room because the signal was not strong enough on the higher levels.

The breakfast was very disappointing - we just ate cereal in the end. I wouldn't rush back here - rather do the long drive to/from Oman in one day.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
