Worst hyatt I've stayed in for a long time. I don't normally write reviews but felt compelled to write this for other Globalists who are contemplating staying here so they set their expectations right.
Stayed as part of a conference and wasn't really expecting much of an upgrade when I asked for one as hotel was indeed full. But what irked me was fellow conference attendees who were not even WOH members got room upgrades and I was flat out told no.
Also, what really was horrible was the level of service during breakfast. This hotel had an ala carte menu plus a semi buffet. Unfortunately, on consecutive days, despite multiple requests, the ala carte order was not delivered and I left both days without it being served and nobody seemed to know anything even when asked multiple times. Spent an hour at breakfast and it was not even busy as I was among the first few diners there early in the morning. And it was for something simple - Nasi Lemak. This seriously is an abysmal service failure.
Certainly if you're redeeming points and it remains a cat 1 n you get a free breakfast, its still worth it. Rooms are clean and hardware is new. But on a paid rate, you're probably better off in the other Hyatt or Marriott/Le M which has slightly better location(though this is debatable) and far superior service
I doubt I will be back here. There are better choices.
