As the title says - came here for the kuay and wasn't disappointed. Particularly liked the half pandan/half coconut slices. They sell out quick - we got there at 3pm and most of the stuff had gone.

Favorite place to buy delicious buttercream cupcakes/ sliced cake and local kuih. Custom made whole Buttercream Cake can be ordered too. They sell pastry like curry puff & etc too, but it's too small in size.
I always buy and takeaway. Not recommended for dine in as it's a really small space shop. The service can be slow & poor though but used to it, hahaha....

It's tiny little shop in Wisma Merdeka - but man, the kuih is just amazing. Sabahans living elsewhere in Malaysia often buy back boxes of the unassuming looking cupcakes, because it's the taste of many happy childhoods.
The system is queue to order the kuih/local cakes (or just point), and then queue again to pay at the cashier. If you end up at the cashier before you put your kuih order in, you will be shooed away to the other queue.

There are a couple of tables squished in, but hardly any one eats in - best to order out, cross the road facing the sea and eat with the view of the ocean.

The cakes especially the Malay traditional 'kuih-muih' are really delicious. Only draw back, the way the cakes are stack up without proper covering when being carted to the shop. Also the attitude of some of the staff, not so welcoming.
