Staff were very helpful and polite. Reasonable choice of food. Dishes arrived at our table at different times meaning some people were kept waiting. Food was ok but nothing special compared to other places we ate at in Kota Kinabalu.

Very mediocre food if compared with cheaper eateries in town. We ordered a beef rendang which was very chewy and the rendang sauce very bland. We also ordered sambal squid which was a bit better but the sauce equally bland. All in all I advise against choosing this place

I wanted rendang and my hotel recommended Sri Malaka. The rendang was tasty and authentic. The service was fast, and they server was nice to suggest and explain some of the drinks that I was unfamiliar with. The medium portion of rendang with rice was adequate as a meal for 1 person, and it wasn't too spicy although it certainly had some heat as it should. Only down side was that there are several large tables for big family groups (as expected here), and if your timing is bad, you might have to wait a long time to order and get your food. Overall very good and exactly what I wanted that night.

Nice clean restaurant, good service and really tasty food. Friendly staff, two levels we were upstairs.

Returned to KK in February 2020. We ate here 3 times and found the food, service and value for money as was our visit in 2018. This is probably my favourite Malaysian restaurant in KK.
